It is good to be home, even if for only one night. Tomorrow we have to drive to Illinois to retrieve our two boys who have been staying with friends while we were gone. I am also going to visit with a pastor from India who is visiting that area.
Driving home gave me many hours to contemplate the possible effects of this trip, particularly in regard to the overthrow of Pan. One the most significant insights was to identify Pan with the beast from the earth in Rev. 13. Because the biblical beast is associated with the world economic system and money, I think we will see side effects in that arena, perhaps immediately or on a 414-day cycle (i.e., "Cursed Time," as explained in Secrets of Time).
We made the decree against Pan on June 24, 2009. If we calculate 414 days later, it comes to August 18, 2010. Figured inclusively, the date would be August 17, 2010. This is a possible watch date for next year.
Also, five years earlier, on June 24, 2004, I encountered a powerful evil spirit named Baphomet, the god of Freemasonry. He had oppressed a woman named Lori for 27 years, because her Masonic father had dedicated her to Satan at the age of five. When she came to me, she was color blind, deaf in one ear, and had numerous other ailments (both mental and physical). After casting out this spirit from her, she was restored. Her hearing immediately returned, she could suddenly see colors, the lights were brighter, etc.
Darla and I also went to her apartment to cleanse it, in order to stop the water glasses from flying across the room, stop the wall pictures from bumping her on the head as she sat on the couch, and (most of all) to stop the attacks at night that put scratches and bite marks on her arms.
This particular spirit was especially powerful, but no match for the Holy Spirit, of course.
My point is this: Baphomet is pictured on a 19th century painting by Eliphas Levy as a goat with a human body (half man half woman) sitting on a cushion. Its connection with Azazel is striking, though they are not precisely the same entity. Baphomet ranks lower than Azazel, but retains some of his characteristics.
I just find it interesting that it would be precisely five years between the two dates: June 24, 2004 to June 24, 2009. This is the day honoring John the Baptist on the Roman Catholic calendar. For us, of course, it is part of the work of Elisha, which goes a step further than Elijah or John.
These little coincidences of timing tell us quite a bit, simply by linking two events--or, in this case, two spirits.
We first came up against Azazel on July 8-10, 1993. The Lord had given me two words to help me identify him on July 8, 1982 and July 10, 1984. Putting together those two words afterward gave me the first clues as to what we were up against in 1993. Even so, I have long refrained from commenting on this side of the warfare, simply because up to now we could see no end in sight. Now that a great victory has been won, we have suddenly gained much more insight into it, so I can now share details with greater understanding.
The warfare against Azazel continued and gained in intensity up to the present time. Next month it will be 16 years, and it would not surprise me if we saw some sort of echo effect on July 8-10 this year. Or perhaps a conclusion to this warfare. Sixteen is the biblical number of Love, and we all know that "Love never fails" (1 Cor. 13:8) and "endures all things" (13:7) until it has achieved victory.
Recall that Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness where He fasted 40 days while being tempted by the devil (Luke 4:2). This was the fulfillment of Lev. 16:10, where the second goat was to be given "for Azazel."
Jesus overcame temptation and passed the test during His 40 days, whereas Israel had failed ten tests in the wilderness (Num. 14:22). Likewise, the Church, in its 40 Jubilees in the wilderness (from 33-1993 A.D.), failed in the same manner. Nonetheless, the overcomers among them succeeded and passed the tests even as Jesus did.
But during this time, Azazel was given authority to overcome (or overpower) the saints for a length of time. Daniel 7:21 and 22 says,
21 I beheld and the same horn made war with the saints and prevailed against them 22 until the Ancient of Days came, and adjudication [Concordant Version] was given to the saints of the Most High, and the time came that the saints possessed the Kingdom.
Revelation 13:7 repeates this prophecy, saying,
7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints and to overcome them; and power was given him over all kindreds and tongues and nations.
The overthrow of Pan-Azazel this week comes on the heels of revelation in May that we had reached the end of the time of being overcome. The Lord gave us the word that the saints would now begin to overcome this beast. Even so, I had forgotten about this until after the fact. It is easy to be so focused upon the issues at hand that we forget past details and revelation.
I think, though, that God removed this from my memory in order that I would be led naturally to do what needed to be done.
Overcoming Azazel confirms the revelation that we had reached the end of being overcome and that this pattern would now be reversed with victory.
Another detail . . . Michael Jackson died at the age of 50, and he had been scheduled for 50 concerts in his upcoming tour. If he had placed his faith in Jesus Christ, this might have been his Jubilee year--that is, his finest year, in which he might have been set free. But instead, he lost his Jubilee as we see so often in biblical examples.
Israel failed to return to their inheritance at the 50th Jubilee from Adam, when they believed the evil report of the 10 spies (Num. 14:1).
Israel failed to attain liberty at the 14th Jubilee from their Jordan crossing in 721 B.C. Instead, Samaria was conquered, and the rest of the Israelites were taken as captives to Assyria (2 Kings 17:6).
The man owing 10,000 talents lost his Jubilee for failing to forgive his neighbor a tiny debt (Matt. 18:23-35).
The point is that Azazel's job description is to counterfeit the feast of Tabernacles. It is to make the attempt to achieve the blessings of Tabernacles without coming into agreement with Jesus Christ. It seeks immortality (perpetual youth, as in the story of Peter Pan) apart from Christ. It seeks transfiguration or transformation by force, by fear, and by rebellion against the lawful King of Creation.
By way of contrast, Peniel is the angel of Tabernacles, whose job description is to bring us into the place of transformation by lawful means. His name means "The face of God," and it has to do with the glory of God being seen in our face, even as Moses experienced temporarily in Ex. 34:29.
With Peniel is the Amen angel, whose job is to bring us into agreement with Jesus Christ. The purpose of Pentecost is to learn obedience until such time as the law is written on our hearts and we do the will of God by nature, rather than by having to put down the flesh.
It seems to me that we have entered into a 3-1/2 year period of Elisha that is designed to overcome. We have been given the adjudication (authority to judge) that Daniel prophesied, and the time has come for the saints to take possession of the Kingdom. This is being done by breaking curses, by putting a blessing on the land, and claiming it for God's Kingdom. We will continue to join with many thousands who are already doing it, until the whole earth is taken back from the usurpers.
