The Almond Chronicles--Part 1

In our local meeting held on February 12, Ron and I discussed the almond revelation. At the time, it did not occur to me that ten years ago we had a similar revelation. I finally thought of it late last night as I was discussing the day's events with my wife. On Feb. 21 we could see Aaron's rod budding almonds as written in Numbers 17.

The recent Superbowl drew our attention to Aaron's Rod when Aaron Rodgers led the Green Bay Packers to victory on Feb. 6. This occurred on the same day that received the revelation for the Prayer of the New Creation Man, which I posted the next day. Anyway, we have found that God speaks all languages, including Sportish. Whatever language men speak, God reveals His Word to them in ways that they can relate to and can understand.

Last night I finally remembered that we had a major revelation about Aaron's Rod ten years ago. As a result of that revelation, Robert and I were led to petition the Divine Court on February 8, 2001 in a scenario that resembled the story in Numbers 17. Because of a challenge to the authority of the overcomers (similar to Korah's challenge of Moses' authority in Num. 17), we were led to "place our staves in the temple in heaven," to see which ones would bear almonds, thus confirming true spiritual authority.

The answer came on Feb. 21 at noon. That is when we saw Aaron's rod bear fruit. I believe that this is important for us today, because of what I call The Hezekiah Factor. This is a ten-year cycle that have often seen, based upon 2 Kings 20:10, where God turned back the clock "ten degrees" to make a prophetic event occur at the right time. We have often seen prophetic parallels occur at ten-year intervals as they seem to recycle and come back on a higher level.

In this case, it has to do with Kingdom Authority and being commissioned to do the work of world evangelism under the power of the next great anointing of the glory of God. All of this we understood fairly well back in 2001. We understood that the spiritual warfare that we were engaging in at the time was to lay foundations for the Kingdom work that was soon to begin. I thought back then that we would see it manifest in three or seven years, but now it seems we are seeing it come back to us on the Hezekiah cycle of ten years.

Kingdom Authority

If you are a new reader, you will have to do some background reading in order to understand how the transfer of authority works. From Moses to Christ, Israel possessed the authority of the Kingdom under a Passover-level authority of the Spirit. It lasted from that first Passover, when Israel was led out of Egypt, until Jesus' crucifixion on the 1480th Passover since Moses. During that time, Israel failed to establish the Kingdom.

Then after a short interim, God gave an increased measure of the Holy Spirit to the disciples on the Day of Pentecost (Acts 2). There was a transfer of authority to a new, smaller group of people. With it came a new anointing known as Pentecost. Under this greater Pentecostal anointing, the "Church" (assembly of called-out ones) were charged with the responsibility of establishing the Kingdom.

The problem was that Pentecost was already prophesied in the life of King Saul. He was crowned king on the day of "wheat harvest" (1 Sam. 12:17), which is the day later known as Pentecost. Hence, he was a type of the Church under Pentecost, and it was written that Saul's kingdom would fail, because Saul had a heart of rebellion and lawlessness. His kingdom authority would thus be temporary. Saul reigned 40 years, and this prophesied of the Pentecostal Age that would last 40 Jubilees (40 x 49 years). This Age lasted from 33 A.D. to 1993 A.D.

Pentecost of 1993 fell that year on May 30, 1993. That is the day that Saul "died," prophetically speaking. In more practical terms, it is the day that the Church under Pentecost began to lose its authority. According to the pattern in the story of King Saul, we find that there was 7-1/2 year transition in the authority transfer from Saul to David. Hence, David ruled over a single tribe (partial authority) from the town of Hebron for 7-1/2 years (2 Sam. 2:11).

Meanwhile, Saul's son, Ishbosheth, ruled for just two years after his father died (2 Sam. 2:10) before being killed by "wheat-gatherers" (2 Sam. 4:6). Israel had no king at all for the next 5-1/2 years. But finally, elders of all the tribes came to crown David king over ALL ISRAEL (2 Sam. 5:3). This represented the full transfer of authority from Saul to David, and it prophesied of our own time when the transfer of authority from Pentecost to Tabernacles would be complete.

This full transfer of authority occurred 7-1/2 years after May 30, 1993 (Saul's death). It occurred on Nov. 30, 2000. As usual, God had us walk this out, as He revealed His heart and mind in this matter. Sunny Day called for meetings from Nov. 28-30, 2000, and there we saw the revelation with signs following, which established the overcomers as the ones given the Kingdom Authority under a new anointing of the feast of Tabernacles.

Even in the book, I could give only the main highlights. But for those of you who followed my monthly reports in those days, or who participated in these events, you can verify all these things.

The Challenge

We have seen over the years that whenever God does something in the earth, His work is challenged by those in disagreement with the Plan. While it is true that God raises up His own opposition (as He did with Pharaoh), nonetheless, we are still faced with the practical work of overcoming those challenges in order to establish the will of God in the earth.

After all, to be an overcomer, one must have something to overcome. Hence, God raises up a controlled opposition and then empowers us to meet that challenge and obtain the victory.

We discovered in January of 2001 that the Church under Pentecost had challenged the overcomers, not believing that Kingdom Authority would ever be removed from the House of Saul and given to the House of David. God's view of Saul was different from Saul's view of Saul. So also with the Church, which saw itself as righteous, when in fact it was quite lawless. What was said about King Saul was equally true about the state of the Church. Though Saul's authority was legitimate, Samuel told him in 1 Sam. 13:14,

"But now your kingdom shall not endure. The Lord has sought out for Himself a man after His own heart, and the Lord has appointed him as ruler over His people, because you have not kept what the Lord commanded you."

So the Church under Pentecost was in disagreement with God in this matter of Kingdom Authority.

How does one know the heart of the Church? How does one monitor agreement or disagreement? This is a matter of spiritual discernment, for apart from hearing God's voice, it is not possible to understand these things. I was introduced to this concept back in the 1980's during my apprenticeship when I was learning under tutors. Perhaps some day I will do a more complete teaching on this.

It is sufficient for now to use the house of Saul as an example of how this works. It is self-evident that Saul disagreed with Samuel. Saul's son, Ishbosheth, did not agree to give David the authority either, even though David was the anointed one to succeed Saul.

And so, in 2001 we faced our first legal challenge, which was finally resolved Feb. 21, 2001.
