Each year the Prophetic Year begins some time after the feast of Tabernacles. This current Prophetic Year began on November 21 with our Declaration of Identity, identifying ourselves with the Christ Man within us, rather than the fleshly man of Adam.
The first 76 days of cleansing for the year ended with a shift in prayer focus to "Father, the hour has come; glorify Thy son." This was started on Feb. 5/6.
The final 76 days of cleansing took us to April 22 and the first day of the Manassas Conference. We now have the sign we were looking for. It was a third prayer, presented by one of the speakers, Martha Barley. Here is the Barley Prayer from Isaiah 61:
(1) The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed and qualified me to preach the Gospel of good tidings to the meek, the poor, and afflicted; He has sent me to bind up and heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the [physical and spiritual] captives and the opening of the prison and of the eyes to those who are bound,
(2) To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord [the year of His favor] and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn,
(3) To grant [consolation and joy] to those who mourn in Zion--to give them an ornament [a garland or diadem] of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, the garment [expressive] of praise, instead of a heavy, burdened, and failing spirit--that they may be called oaks of righteousness [lofty, strong, and magnificent, distinguished for uprightness, justice, and right standing with God], the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
Jesus quoted much of this when He came out of the wilderness at the beginning of His ministry on earth (Luke 4:18, 29). We too are at the beginning of a new ministry, but it is associated with the second work of Christ, so is it a little different. First, we will see "the vengeance of our God" this time around, whereas Jesus stopped in the middle of the verse and did not proclaim this in Luke 4. Deliverance is coming, as Jesus steps in as our guardian and advocate in the Divine Court. (In OT terms, this was called the "avenger of blood.")
Jesus is stepping in to overthrow the Babylonian system of injustice that has been done to His people. He is delivering His people and setting them free in a Jubilee. I wrote some weblogs not too long ago about the Revenger of Blood. I did them on January 9-11, 2008. (Wow, has it been that long?) You may find them more easily by clicking on the "God's Law" section of the weblogs, and then scrolling down.
So this is the proclamation and decree that characterizes the time ahead. Rejoice, for your redemption draws near.
