The Middle East Peace Plan

President Obama's Middle East foreign policy speech this week gave people the impression that he is at least making the attempt to find a peaceful solution to the conflict between the Israelis and Palestinians. News commentators said that he was trying to negate the impression that the search for peace was hopeless.

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu immediately declared that the pre-1967 borders were "indefensible." Mitt Romney said that Obama had "thrown Israel under the bus." The Arab world thinks that Obama has thrown the Palestinians under the train.

I applaud any sincere effort toward peace. However, the big problem is that neither side wants to do what is necessary to establish peace. The closest they came to peace was in September of 1993 when Israeli PM Rabin signed an agreement with Yassir Ararfat to establish a two-state solution. Rabin was later assassinated by a disgrunted Israeli who believed--as so many do--that the Palestinians do not have the right to exist.

There are no end of arguments back and forth. The only real solution is to understand the biblical history of that land and to know the mind of God and His Law.

First, it is God's intent to bring judgment to that land--and, in particular, to Jerusalem. Isaiah 29 makes it clear that this judgment will be a nuclear strike. Jeremiah 19 is another clear chapter that establishes the intent of God in this matter. The prophet was told to take an old earthen jar, bring it to gehenna (valley of the son of Hinnom), and smash the jar in front of the elders of Jerusalem.

¹⁰ Then shalt thou break the bottle in the sight of the men that go with you. ¹¹ And shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord of hosts, "Even so will I break this people and THIS CITY,as one breaketh a potter's vessel that cannot be made whole again," and they shall bury them in Tophet, till there be no place to bury.

Jerusalem was "broken" by the Babylonians in the days of Jeremiah, but a century later it was rebuilt.

The day is coming when the city will be destroyed in such a manner that it "cannot be made whole again." In my view, a nuclear strike would fulfill Jeremiah's prophecy.

When we understand Jeremiah 19 in the light of chapter 18, we get a better idea of the context of this prophecy. There are two jars in Jeremiah's prophecy, one for Israel and one for Judah.

The Israel jar is prophesied in Jer. 18:1-10. This prophecy applied to the northern tribes of Israel, who had already been dispersed by the Assyrians a century earlier. Their jar is pictured as wet clay which, when "marred in the hand of the potter" (18:4), was beaten down to a shapeless mass but then rebuilt into a suitable vessel.

On the other hand, the Judah-jar was old and the clay already hardened. When it was smashed, it was not rebuilt but was cast into gehenna (the city dump).

Many modern Christians do not understand this prophecy, because they think the Jews are the Israelites. Hence, they do not catch the significance of the prophecy. They are fond of quoting Jeremiah 18 as if it applied to the Jews ("Judah"), and they tend to ignore Jeremiah 19 altogether--because that prophecy makes no sense to them.

The Israelites were a distinct nation after the death of Solomon during the time of the Divided Kingdom. The Israelites were taken into a separate captivity to the north around the Caspian Sea. The Jews of Judah survived that captivity, but were later taken captive to Babylon.

The Israelites lost their physical identity, because the only records at our disposal are those of the Assyrians, Greeks, and other nations. These nations called Israel by other names, so they became "lost sheep of the house of Israel." It is not that the people disappeared, nor were all of them killed. Instead, they assumed new names.

The Assyrians called the Khumri or Ghomri (Hosea's "Gomer"), and their land was called Gamira. The Greeks called them Sacae. The Persians called them Sakka. The Latin historians of Rome called them Saxons.

The Behistun Rock, where Darius the Great was buried, had a trilingual inscription of all the people that he ruled. On one column those lost Israelites were called Sakka, on another it was spelled Saka, and on the third column was written its equivalent, Gamira. This shows the different names all referred to the same people.

None of these historical monuments call them "Jews." Only the people of the Kingdom of Judah continued to call themselves "Jews."

Without knowing this simple distinction between Judah and Israel, it is not possible to rightly divide the word of truth. The prophets all knew the difference and prophesied to each nation according to its calling. Judah was called to bring forth the King who would rule both Judah and Israel--and, indeed, the entire earth. But Israel was given the Birthright of Joseph (1 Chron. 5:1, 2).

Judah fulfilled its calling when Jesus was born of that tribe. Israel will fulfill its calling when the Birthright dispute is resolved at the time of the second coming of Christ. See my book, The Laws of the Second Coming.

In the past century, certain Zionist Jews have had a vision of returning to the old land, expelling the Palestinians, and claiming the land on the basis of Biblical mandate. They called their nation "Israel," in order to trick the Christians into confusing Judah with Israel. The Christian Zionists, spawned by the Dispensationalist teachers, supported the Jewish claim on Palestine on the grounds that God had given the land to "Israel."

It was first and foremost a case of mistaken identity. Second, it blurred the lines between Israel and Judah and made it impossible to understand the two callings involved. Third, it made it impossible to understand the distinctly different purposes of the two comings of Christ.

But worst of all, it encouraged Christians to support Jewish immigration to Palestine, where most will be killed in the nuclear strike that is yet to come. And meanwhile, this entire situation has caused untold misery among Palestinians and has also caused Israeli Jews to live in a constant state of fear.

What few people realize is that this conflict was set forth in the 1800's by Albert Pike, the avowed Luciferian leader of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry. He proposed causing three world wars to accomplish his purpose. The first would destroy Europe's faith in Christ; the second would be used to bring about an Israeli state, which would then eventually be the cause of the third world war.

The third and final war would destroy Jerusalem, and with it, the hopes and aspirations of Judaism, Islam, and Christianity. In this way, Luciferianism would rise to the top to fill the spiritual vacuum.

So far the plan has worked quite well. If Christians had known the truth, they might have understood the Luciferian plan, and they might have prepared the Church for the disaster soon to come. There will be many disillusioned people when Jerusalem is destroyed by nuclear means. Christians will think that prophecy has failed. They will think that the biblical Israel has been destroyed. It will be our job to know the truth, so that we can restore their faith in Scripture, prophecy, and in Jesus Christ Himself.
