July Watch Dates

Ever since the revelation 30 years ago, "July is like September," we have watched the month of July for signs of what would develop in September. (This was not my revelation, but I have found it to be true and very useful over the years.)

The basis of this revelation is that July is our 7th month, while September correlates generally with the 7th month on the Hebrew calendar. Hence, we get an early view (in July) of what transpires in September. Usually, this is limited to a single event, but we have to watch the whole month.

We have also noted that July 1 (7/1) correlates specifically to Rosh Hoshana, the first day of the 7th month on the Hebrew calendar. We have seen signs of resurrection on the first of July. By the same way of reckoning, July 10 correlates with the Day of Atonement (or Jubilee).

And because the feast of Tabernacles is 7-15 to 7-22, we also must watch July 15-22.

We are now in "Watch Mode" for the month of July. In addition to the above dates, we also watch for patterns that have emerged in previous years, because we often see repeat patterns. When those patterns are part of a longer time cycle, such as last year's July 9-15 cycle, then we have to see if there is any indication of a repeat pattern on the first day of that cycle.

So far, on July 1, we have noticed a strong connection with the events of 1997 on the same date. On July 1, 1997 Minnesota saw a very powerful wind storm that swept through the area. I wrote in a report (dated Aug. 15, 1997):

"A tremendous windstorm swept down the northern plains on July 1 and 2. It hit Minneapolis on the 1st and Detroit, Michigan on the 2nd."

On July 1, 2011 we again saw 80 mph straight-line winds hit Minnesota with hurricane force, beginning in the Southwest and moving Northeast. It brushed us here in Minneapolis, but we only saw about 30 mph winds at our house. North of us, however, in both Minnesota and Wisconsin, many roads were impassible due to all the trees knocked down over the roads. Power will probably not be fully restored for about three weeks.

This event suggests a connection between 1997 and 2011. I noticed this parallel in June when I wrote about the June 19 to July 2 events. But when our Apostle Islands cruise was cancelled due to high winds on the lake (June 21-22), we understood that there had been a prophetic delay.

Yet on July 1, the high winds formed a perfect parallel to the storm in 1997. So this makes me believe that July is the month to watch. The "wind" of the Spirit is connected to the resurrection of the dead in Ezekiel 37:9-14. July 1 is like 7-1 on the Hebrew calendar (Rosh Hoshana, the day of resurrection).

So this draws our attention now to July 10. I have already written about July 9-15, as seen in last year's "barley" events. July 9, 2010 we cast barley meal into the headwaters of the Mississippi River to deal with the Gulf Oil spill. The oil well was then capped on July 15.

So this year we will be watching July 9-10 for a Jubilee sign, and we will also watch July 15. We already know one event that is scheduled for July 15 this year. Dave and Martha Barley will be coming here, where he will perform a wedding ceremony on the 15th. So that appears to be an important marker to watch.

This all comes in the overall context of watching for the 9th sign of Elisha, as I explained in my earlier blog about July 9-15. The 9th sign is about Provision (2 Kings 4:42-44) in regard to the 10th sign, which is the Gospel of the Kingdom going out "beyond the borders." Since the 10th sign involves cleansing from leprosy, it connects directly with our ministry logo--the shield with the two doves, which portrays the law of cleansing from leprosy, which is the law about coming into immortality, passing from death into life.

An important element in this is the message itself and how Christ is presented to the world. Last March a new book came out called Love Wins, by Rob Bell. It is a basic study on the Restoration of All Things, written from a pastoral standpoint, rather than being a theological work. I found that Rob Bell's book this year has a connection to 1997. I wrote in a report on Sept. 7, 1997,

"Love Wins"

Also on that day (August 17) the PGA golf tournament was finishing up. You remember from last year how Steve Jones won the U.S. Open golf tournament on Father's Day, June 16, 1996, and how this was prophetic of our move to the Gates of Edinborough on a golf course here. Well, this year we were expecting again to see prophecy fulfilled in some way in this golf tournament, and we were not disappointed. Davis Love won.

The next day the sports page ran the headline: "Love Wins for his Dad." The article started out, "A rainbow appeared over the 18th green as Davis Love took his final putt in the PGA Championship. For Love, it was like a moment sent from heaven."

This again shows us that there is a significant connection between 1997 and 2011. The PGA tournament in 1997 was prophesying of a particular message in the Gospel of the Kingdom that needs to be proclaimed in order to give the world a genuine view of the heart of God. The message is not one of threats of hell-fire for all sinners. It is the message that Paul advocated in 2 Cor. 5:18-20,

¹⁸ Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ, and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, ¹⁹ namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. ²⁰ Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were entreating through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.

The Gospel of the Kingdom that Paul preached had no threats. It was about the good news of what Christ had done in "reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them." It was a message about the love of God, and what God had done for them in Christ. And furthermore, "Love Wins," because it never fails (1 Cor. 13:8).

So as we watch the month of July, keep in mind that at least one of these dates and events should correlate with its counterpart in September--or on the Hebrew calendar's feast day. We are still in the early days of this, but I want to make you aware of these things, so that you will have the tools by which to discern these things for yourselves. The less that you need to depend upon my reports, the better off you will be.
