Our door knob was fixed about sundown last evening. It just worked out that way. It was the beginning of Rosh Hoshana.
There is also a back door to be fixed today. So there is actually a dual fulfillment going on here. Perhaps it is because in Jerusalem some moon watchers were unable to see the new moon last night, so they claim the feast was postponed to the next day. Whatever the case, God tends to accommodate everyone's calendar in order to be able to speak to each person according to his own understanding of times and seasons.
Last night I left the computer to relax and watch a Netflix movie. Darla asked me to find one to watch while she fixed a treat. I found one called "Encounter." It was about some travelers who had stopped in at an old Diner during a storm, where they were served by a man named Jesus. He seemed to know everything about them, strangely enough.
Only afterward did it occur to me that this was another prophetic word and sign for us on Rosh Hoshana. It is the beginning of the New Year on the Hebrew calendar, but on the Prophetic Year (which ends at Tabernacles) it is near to the culmination of the previous year.
Look at the progression. . . . We were led to make the Declaration of Identity at the start of the Prophetic Year (Nov. 21, 2010). Then we asked for Christ in us to be glorified (Feb. 5, 2011). Then we declared Isaiah 61:1-3 (April 22) as a declaration of calling. Then we saw the death of Hezekiah (Sept. 23) and the beginning of the reign of Manasseh, "The Remnant" (Sept. 24).
But the first year of any king always began at the start of the New Year, so as not to attribute their reign to the last year of the previous king. The interim days or months are called "the beginning of his reign" (as in Ezra 4:6).
Hence, the first year of the reign of Manasseh actually begins officially at Rosh Hoshana. Today is the beginning of the first year of The Remnant, with 12-year-old Manasseh as the prophetic type. This also overlays with Jesus' 12th birthday, because He was born on the evening of Rosh Hoshana 2012 years ago in 2 B.C.
So last night we were given the revelation of "Encounter." I believe it indicates two things: (1) that The Remnant will have an encounter with Jesus; and (2) The Remnant will manifest Christ to others in order to give THEM a divine encounter. Watch for opportunities to manifest Christ to others.
This new year is also the Jewish year 5772, which they name for the 72 (ayin-beth). The ayin is the Hebrew number 70 and means an EYE. The beth is the number 2 and means a house or household. This can be read as THE TWO EYES IN OUR HOUSE, which is one of the main topics of the past Prophetic Year. This was the whole idea behind the Declaration of Identity last November. We have two "I's" and we are to declare our identity with the Christ "I" within, instead of the identifying with the old man (Adam). It is all based on Romans 7.
If our eye is single, and we are truly identified with Christ, then wherever we go, others will have an Encounter with Christ through us. Is this not what is indicated by the declaration of calling in Isaiah 61:1-3??
Here is another "Door" story that someone wrote and sent to me. The lyrics of the song below express the idea of Encounter:
Here is my door story, which happened just today.
I got a call from a friend who needed some help to meet a deadline, so I agreed and went to her shop. She had a series of CDs playing, all country music, which is one of the least favorite types of music I like, but I sat quietly and did not complain since it was her shop. She went to go get lunch and a song in particular came on that made me sit up and take notice, as they mentioned the Open Door. Here are the lyrics by Big and Rich:Met a man on the street last nightSaid his name was Jesus
Met a man on the street last night
Thought he was crazy till I watched him heal a blind man
Watched him heal a blind man now I see
I live this life until this life won't let me live here anymore
Then I will walk yes I will walk
With patience through that open door
I have no fears, angels follow me wherever I may go
I live this life until this life won't let me live here anymore
Met a girl in a chair with wheels
But no one else would see her
Met a girl in a chair with wheels
Everyone was so afraid
To even look down on her
And she just spread her little wings and flew away yeah
I live this life until this life won't let me live here anymore
Then I will walk yes I will walk
With patience through that open door
I have no fears, angels follow me wherever I may go
I live this life until this life won't let me live here anymore
Met a kid on a bridge last night
Contemplating freedom
Met a kid on a bridge last night
And he said
I'm tired of this maddening life
And I'm ready to go meet Jesus
And I said he's a friend of mine
Met him just last night
And it's alright
Yeah it's all right
Yeah
I live this life until this life won't let me live here anymore
Then I will walk yes I will walk
With patience through that open door
I have no fears, angels follow me wherever I may go
I live this life until this life won't let me live here anymore
Live here anymore
Met a man on the street last night
Said his name was Jesus
Met a man on the street last night
So even if we feel somewhat inadequate, don't let it get you down. Just be aware of what God is doing in you, be led by the Spirit, and I think you will begin to see good results.
Perhaps, too, this foreshadows an Encounter with Jesus at the conference in St. Louis next week.
