Recall that as early as 2005, General Wesley Clark revealed that the Pentagon had devised a new war strategy to destabilize and overthrow seven Mideast countries in five years, including Iraq, Libya, and Syria. The general called it a “policy coup.” Someone or some group of powerful men instituted a coup, he said, taking over the policy making in the Pentagon.

This war destabilization policy worked quite well until they tried to overthrow Syria, at which time Russia stepped in to destroy ISIS (or ISIL) and the US-supported “rebels.” The US operation to arm and foment the civil war in Syria is called “Timber Sycamore.”

Timber Sycamore was a classified weapons supply and training program run by the United States Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and supported by various Arab intelligence services, most notably that of Saudi Arabia. Launched in 2012 or 2013, it supplied money, weaponry and training to rebel forces fighting Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in the Syrian Civil War. According to U.S. officials, the program has trained thousands of rebels. President Barack Obama secretly authorized the CIA to begin arming Syria’s embattled rebels in 2013. However, the CIA had been facilitating the flow of arms from Libya to Syria "for more than a year" beforehand in collaboration with "the UK (United Kingdom), Saudi Arabia and Qatar."
The program's existence was suspected after the U.S. Federal Business Opportunities website publicly solicited contract bids to ship tons of weaponry from Eastern Europe to Tasucu, Turkey and Aqaba, Jordan. One unintended consequence of the program has been to flood the Middle East's black market with weapons including assault rifles, mortars and rocket-propelled grenades. The U.S. delivered weapons via Ramstein - supposedly in breach of German laws.
In July 2017, U.S. officials stated that Timber Sycamore would be phased out, with funds possibly redirected to fighting the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), or to offering rebel forces defensive capabilities.
Notice that in July 2017 the US taxpayer funds that had been earmarked to overthrow Assad would finally be “redirected to fighting ISIL.” What?? You mean to say that those funds had NOT been to fight ISIL prior to July 2017? The government had been supposedly fighting ISIL (ISIS) since it first appeared on the scene! Now the lie has been exposed.
But of course, in my view ISIS itself was a CIA creation. It was designed to replace al-qaeda after its usefulness was depleted. Osama bin-Laden had been a colonel in the CIA, and his code name was Tim Osman. But when he was no longer useful, they disposed of him and started a new organization—ISIS/ISIL. The US-taxpayer funding for Operation Timber Sycamore paid for arms shipments to ISIS and to other rebel factions in Syria to overthrow Assad.
Thankfully, that has ended (or is ending) under President Trump.
