Here is an interesting response from Asia about Trump’s repudiation of past US foreign policy in regard to Russia. It seems that Trump’s MAGA policy, now that Asia is beginning to understand what it means, is much appreciated in Asia.
This is one of those articles which everyone ought to read, as it is highly informative. Even if people do not believe what the article says about America, they should understand how Asia and the rest of the world perceives us.
There is usually quite a big difference between how we view ourselves and how the rest of the world views us. The difference is directly attributable to which news media people get their information from. But the facts speak for themselves.

The author of the article identifies himself, showing his credentials as an advisor to the first Russian president, Boris Yeltsin in the 1990’s. He writes:
“As chief economist for the supply-side consulting firm Polyconomics, I got an appointment as an advisor to Boris Yeltsin’s finance ministry and made several trips to Moscow.”
So he is not a mere journalist. He has personal experience with Russia. The article is very enlightening and confirms much of what I have known for years in my own observation from afar. Of course, I did not learn much from the mainstream news media, which tended to provide only what the government wanted us to know. If you really want to know what is going on, you have to go to alternative sources that are not controlled by the US government or the US intelligence agencies. You must often read articles from overseas, such as the Asia Times.
When we compare President Obama’s world tour where he apologized often for America’s previous bad behavior in the Bush era, he then proceeded to do nothing to change those policies. He ran for president on a mantra of “Change,” and then changed only superficial things. Trump, on the other hand, said little about “Change,” but has been doing a lot. That largely explains the vitriol coming from the news media and some of the former heads of the CIA, such as John Brennan.
You can tell when change is real. It is when these people oppose the president.
