Hurricane Michael has strengthened considerably to 140 mph winds and is now a Category 4 storm. It may possibly strengthen further before it hits land.
At this point, it appears it could hit Panama City. If so, this could indicate divine warfare against Pan, which we have encountered on the battlefield in the past—most notably in June 2009. My reports from that trip to Washington state, California, and Colorado are posted in the weblogs for that time period.
On another note, I want to comment briefly on callings, the difference between your calling and Donald Trump’s calling.
President Trump’s calling and anointing is to be a Cyrus and a Jehu. But neither of these men were overcomers, even though they were God’s anointed and did their jobs very well. Just because someone is anointed does not mean that they are overcomers—even believers. Of Cyrus, God said in Isaiah 45:5, “I will gird you, though you have not known Me.”
Jehu was not very nice at all, but he was anointed to destroy the house of Ahab. Elisha sent a man in his place to anoint Jehu as king of Israel (2 Kings 9:1, 2, 3). A few verses later, in 2 Kings 9:7 we read,
7 And you shall strike the house of Ahab your master, that I may avenge the blood of My servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of the Lord, at the hand of Jezebel. 8 For the whole house of Ahab shall perish, and I will cut off from Ahab every male person both bond and free in Israel.
Later in the same chapter, Jezebel was killed, along with King Joram, son of Ahab. In fact, Joram was shot and killed in Jezreel, and his body was cast into the property that Ahab had stolen from Naboth the Jezreelite (2 Kings 9:24, 25). The judgment fit the crime. Then Jezebel too was killed in Jezreel, because if you recall, Naboth’s vineyard was next to Ahab’s mansion (2 Kings 9:30).
Jehu then proceeded to kill Ahab’s seventy sons (2 Kings 10:7).
Did this mean that Jehu was a devout believer? No, for we read in 2 Kings 10:29-31,
29 However, as for the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, which he made Israel sin, from these Jehu did not depart, even the golden calves that were at Bethel and that were at Dan. 30 And the Lord said to Jehu, “Because you have done well in executing what is right in My eyes, and have done according to all that was in My heart, your sons of the fourth generation shall sit on the throne of Israel.” 31 But Jehu was not careful to walk in the law of the Lord, the God of Israel, with all his heart; he did not depart from the sins of Jeroboam, which he made Israel sin.
Jehu’s house ruled Israel for 4 generations only, because his obedience to God was partial.
In 2009 our trip to confront Pan was actually about confronting the two “bears” in the story in 2 Kings 2:24. We identified those two bears as representing the two golden calves at Bethel and Dan, which Jeroboam had set up. Although Israel had been destroyed thousands of years ago, no one, it seems, had thought to overthrow those golden calves. So we were led to do so.
The first was overthrown in the Seattle area, representing the golden calf at Bethel. Then we turned our focus toward the second bear, which we soon discovered was Pan. The city of Dan, where the second golden calf was placed, was later known as Caesarea Philippi in the north, where the Grotto of Pan was located (now Pannea or Banias).

We did our final work against Pan in the Black Forest just outside of Colorado Springs, and the next morning Michael Jackson died. Michael was obsessed with bears and with Pan (as in Peter Pan).
That was our final prayer work before heading back to Minnesota.
Today, it appears that Michael is getting ready to overthrow Pan once again, but this time on a greater scale. If Hurricane Michael hits Panama City, that is how I would interpret this. In this context, it is also related to Kavanaugh’s calling, because he took his seat on the Supreme Court just yesterday.
By the way, his name is Brett Michael Kavanaugh.

So it appears that Michael today is fighting against Pan, the golden calf in Dan, where the Grotto of Pan was located, which the Jews called “the gates of hell” (Matthew 16:18). Pan was pictured as half man, half goat (as in the Pied Piper). This was also the manifestation of the biblical satyr known as Azazel, which the book of Enoch portrays as the leader of “the angels that sinned” in Genesis 6:4.
As such, Pan (Azazel) is a false feast of Tabernacles, a counterfeit Peniel. He must be overthrown in order to see the second coming of Christ and the manifestation of the sons of God.
Back to our main point about different callings, it is clear that both Cyrus and Jehu were called and anointed by God to do a work of executing divine judgment Cyrus brought judgment upon Babylon. Jehu brought judgment upon the house of Ahab. But neither were overcomers, nor did they carry the anointing to become manifested sons of God.
Jehu and Cyrus did the “dirty work,” so to speak, the grim work of bringing judgment. It was a negative work necessary to prepare for the positive work that we are called to do. Jehu and Cyrus could bring judgment and destruction on the old system, but their callings were limited. Jehu’s reward was to rule for 4 generations. Cyrus later died battling the Massagetae, and his head was sent back stuffed with gold.
Only the overcomers could do the positive work of establishing the Kingdom. That is our calling. The old types and shadows, of course, are helpful in giving us some guidance to interpret current events, but since today’s fulfillment comes in a completely different context, we must also recognize the differences. It appears that Michael here is warring against Pan and “Old Town” (Babylon). God is using Brett Michael Kavanaugh in this battle. (Brett is also Brit, which is the Hebrew word for “Covenant.” Brit-ish in Hebrew is Covenant Man.)
The bottom line is that we should not put our trust in any man (such as Donald Trump), and yet we ought to recognize what God is doing through him. We should respect and honor him as the president and support the anointing that he has, but that does not mean we must agree with all that he does in the process.
Our trust is in God, not men. But one never knows how God will deal with Trump. Some of the prophets ten years ago spoke about a president who would come into office as an unbeliever but who would become a man of prayer while holding office. If that is true, then we should have hope that Trump will grow spiritually and that he might even succeed where Jehu failed.
When we understand the times and seasons in which we live, we can be encouraged with what God is doing and how he uses even flawed men to accomplish His purposes. In the old types and shadows, things were different from today because in those days the Kingdom was still a long way from manifesting in the earth. We have an advantage today, because the long captivity is ending, and the saints have been given the dominion mandate, as Daniel prophesied.
We may not know the full picture yet, and we may not know about future twists and turns, but we know enough to carry on the work that we are called to do. Right now, my calling is to travel east to see what God might reveal. I know just enough to make the trip, but I do not know much beyond that. This is a faith work, and so I do not need to know ahead of time what He will reveal when the time comes. There is a time for every revelation. Obedience comes before understanding. I do not need to understand as a prerequisite for obedience.
So keep us in prayer. I know that everything will work out according to His perfect will.
