I awoke this morning with the word that we were to make this day a day of national repentance. As you probably know, the president has already declared this to be a National Day of Prayer. Prayer is good, but at this point it is inadequate to resolve the nation’s problem. Simple prayer is not going to turn the judgment against America or stop the plagues that are hitting us. Scripture is clear that the solution is repentance.
Most Americans, do not think in terms of repentance. All they want is for God to bless us in our sin. Christians, too, are at a disadvantage, because having not studied the law, they do not know the full extent of sin that we should repent of. John tells us that “sin is lawlessness” (1 John 3:4), and Paul tells us that we would be ignorant of the definition of sin, except for our knowledge of the law (Romans 3:20).
Scripture also speaks of “the fear of the Lord” (Psalm 111:10). This does not meant that we ought to be afraid of God. It means that we ought to recognize Him as the Sovereign over the nation, i.e., “one nation under God.” For example, slaves were supposed to “fear” their masters, not by being afraid but by recognizing their authority and being obedient to their commands.
So we are being called on behalf of the nation and the church to repent for the nation. First and foremost is to repent for the secularization of America that began in the 1930’s under Roosevelt and has continued to this day. Church and State are indeed separate, as our founders put it, but both are under God, even as Moses (State) and Aaron (church) were under God.
That is the Kingdom pattern which our founders adopted. I listened to a speech recently by our US Attorney General, William Barr, speaking to the association of religious broadcasters, who gave a very good history of this very thing. He showed the importance of God and “religion” in government. The President has said the same thing, supporting and attending pro-life rallies.
It is only after we were brought into the captivity of the final stage of beast empires that our Babylonian rulers officially turned America away from God and reinterpreted the intentions of our founders to mean that we were to eliminate God from government and schools. They failed to tell the people that one of the first bills Congress passed when our nation was established was to supply every home and school with a Bible. They had no intention of eliminating God from government and educational institutions, yet the modern Babylonian system violated God’s right to rule His creation.
I should also add that the beginning of this latest form of captivity began in 1913 with the passage of the Federal Reserve Act. This gave the right to create money to private international bankers, putting our entire economy and financial system under the power of prophetic “beasts.” In 20 years the government itself went bankrupt, and the bankers foreclosed on the federal government and its departments. By 1936 the individual states themselves were bankrupt, and the same bankers foreclosed upon them as well.
Only then did they begin to secularize America and to re-establish it under as a Socialist Democracy. Today this is out in the open, no longer hidden from public view. Its exposure means that the tide has turned, and God is about to overthrow it. So the news is good.
At the present time, the president is re-establishing the American Republic and is working to take back the right to create money from the “independent” Federal Reserve Bank. The Fed has acted as a sovereign since its creation in 1913. That is now about to end. What the president is establishing is not the Kingdom of God but the American Republic, which is a transition stage into the Kingdom prophesied in Daniel 2:35.
So let us pray….
Repentance Prayer
Heavenly Father, we come before Your presence in the name of Jesus and under His blood, thanking you and praising you for Your righteous judgments. We acknowledge You alone as the King of Kings and Jesus Christ as the Heir of all things to whom we are submitted.
Alas, O Lord, the great and awesome God, who keeps His covenant and lovingkindness for those who love Him and keep His commandments, we have sinned, committed iniquity, acted wickedly, and rebelled, even turning aside from Your commandments and ordinances. Moreover, we have not listened to Your servants the prophets, nor have our princes, our fathers, and all the people of the land.
Open shame belongs to us, O Lord. We have violated Your right to rule that which You alone created. So we acknowledge that You alone have the right to show compassion and forgiveness, for we have rebelled against You and have not obeyed Your voice, nor have we walked in Your teachings which You set before us through Your servants, the prophets.
Therefore You have kept calamity and plague in store and have brought it on us; for You are righteous with respect to all that You have done, but we have not obeyed Your voice. Turn our hearts and open the eyes of Your people, so that they may see the evil that they have done and repent with us. Let us move into a new direction in accordance with Your laws and Your nature. Let us no longer be a reproach to all those around us.
O Lord, in accordance with all Your righteous acts, let now Your anger and Your wrath turn away from Your people. Heavenly Father, listen to the prayers of Your servants and their supplications, and for Your sake, let Your face shine upon our faces, even as it shined in the face of Moses and Jesus. Incline Your ear and heart toward us, for we are not presenting our prayer on account of any merits of our own, but on account of Your great compassion.
Thank-you for hearing our prayer and for answering according to your great Love for us, for we pray in the name and nature of Jesus Christ. Amen.
