This week we have been preparing for the livestream conference. It is surprising how much preparation needs to be done with the computers and the speakers. About half of the speakers have pre-recorded their sessions; the other half are here in the Minneapolis area or have driven from afar to do the sessions live from my office.
Sessions will start at 10 a.m. on Friday morning and go through Sunday. We will have two sessions each morning from 10-12 noon and two each afternoon from 2-4 pm (Central Time). There will be no evening sessions.
In the past few days we have noticed some sporadic internet shutdowns. These do not last long, but if this happens during one of our sessions, we may experience some interruptions that are beyond our control. Other people in the area are having similar problems, so we know it is not just our own internal computer problem.
Ron Oja will not be able to speak at this conference. He visited me at my office a week ago, hoping we might be able to pre-record something, but we simply ran out of time. He has many things to say, so we are hoping to record a few sessions with him soon, which we can then make available to you online.
In the two sessions on Sunday morning, we will also be giving a report on the progress of the Bible School and perhaps answering some questions from listeners. Things are finally coming together.
Sunday afternoon we plan to show a 45-minute video: The Joseph Conspiracy and then take questions afterward. This is the start of a 12-part documentary on the patriarch, Joseph, and his role in the suppressed history of Egypt. Footage will be shown of Joseph’s granaries during the famine in the book of Genesis. My friend, Michael Hughes took a film crew to Egypt nearly 2 years ago and was able to film some underground rooms that had never been filmed before. You won’t want to miss that.
The link to the conference itself is now posted on my site. Just click on the gold ribbon at the top of any page at:
Then click on blue link: “View Live Stream.”
We will be putting a countdown there as well so you can see exactly when we intend to begin. This feature may be helpful to those who don’t know how to calculate time zones.
I hope to get one final weblog out tomorrow to finish Isaiah 45, which will also finish up Book 6 of my study in Isaiah. Book 6 covers Isaiah 40-45.
