Recently, I saw an article about Joe Biden winning Michigan by 144,000 votes, and this brought to the surface a revelation that had been stirring in my bones.
We read in 2 Peter 1:10 KJV, “Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure.”
The numeric value of the Greek word ekloge, “election” is 144. The NASB prefers to render it as “chosen.” Both are correct. It has to do with people being chosen by the sovereign grace of God. Such chosen ones are “elected” to a position of authority to rule and reign with Christ. Paul makes it clear that they are not elected by men but by God Himself.
The 144,000 are described in Revelation 7:4 and again in Revelation 14:1.
It occurred to me that the 2020 election has a spiritual side to it. Things happen in the spirit before they happen in the earth, and this is no different. There is a spiritual (heavenly) battle going on that is reflected in the 2020 election. It is a dispute over who is truly called to rule the earth. The rulers of Babylon know that they lost power in 2017, but they are trying a new tactic to secure their former position. The tactic is fraudulent, of course, but they are trying to establish themselves as being “chosen.”
Hence, we see Biden supposedly winning by 144,000 votes. The problem is that they stuffed the ballot boxes after midnight on election night, and a number of counties cast more votes than there were registered voters. One county cast more votes than its entire population—men, women, and children.
This, of course, is being contested in court. Even this court case is a reflection of what is happening in the divine court. The underlying message seems to be from 2 Peter 1:10, that we are to make our election sure by appealing our case to the divine court.
Again, we read in 2 Timothy 2:5,
5 Also if anyone competes as an athlete, he does not win the prize unless he competes according to the rules [nomimos, “lawfully”].
The media has already given first prize to Joe Biden, but Donald Trump is contesting this on the grounds that Biden broke the rules and thereby disqualified himself. The same principle holds true for us, for if we violate the law, we too are disqualified. The win-at-all-costs mindset may succeed among men and nations, but it does not hold true in the race that we are running.
Nonetheless, the lawless nature of Babylon is manifesting itself quite clearly. We can look at the (real) news and see what is happening in the heavens.
