I talked with Pastor Fiaz in Pakistan this morning. He said to thank our donors for enabling him to print the tracts and books that he has translated into Urdu. He has translated many books for other ministries in the past, but we are the only ones who have been willing to pay for the printing costs. Christians in Pakistan are generally quite poor and cannot afford to support such costs. Hence, most of his translation work has been largely wasted.
We are the first who have actually volunteered to pay for printing the books. We’ll be sending him more next week to put a complete set of the 13 tracts into print, both as individual tracts and also together into a single book.
We are printing 2,000 tracts at a time now and will do the same amount with the books as well. There is much demand for these new teachings. Many churches have been given these materials, and also 4 seminaries, who will now be using the Numbers book in their curriculums.
Pastor Fiaz will be making another trip shortly to distribute the books and tracts to other areas that have yet to receive these. These are areas where Bibles are also difficult to obtain, mostly because the people are too poor to afford a Bible. I have sent him $700 to purchase 100 Bibles so that he can distribute them as well. At his suggestion, these Bibles will have a label inside of the front cover, giving our ministry name as the donor. This, he said, will give us more name recognition and put us in a favorable position when they read the books and tracts.
I had to upgrade my Verizon account to accommodate the face-to-face talks on Telegram. This has also given me opportunity to talk with his three children. He requested that I pray for his son Abraham so that he will grow up to become “a great Bible scholar like Dr. Jones”! My prayer is that he will not be limited by my level of learning but that he will have a greater revelation of the word. He also said that his oldest daughter, Jennifer, age 10, is helping him with the translation work. This is getting to be a family project.
A generous donation last fall was sent just before I met Pastor Fiaz. This made it possible for us to launch the outreach in Pakistan. The timing made it obvious that God intended for us to use it to sow the seed in Pakistan. Your prayers are now needed to water the seed of the word that is being planted.
Over the years, I have had many offers from around the world to translate my books. I have kept their email addresses in a file, but I have not been led to act upon these. They were mostly looking for a job, but I did not want to go down that road until we had the money to do it properly. Not only would it cost money to translate the books, but then we would also have to pay for the printing costs. So this is a bigger project than merely translating books.
Most important is to find translators who actually believe the message that they are translating. Those people are rare who have the calling to do this work of ministry. Pastor Fiaz is a fellow laborer in the Kingdom. He is not just a hired hand. He is the key that opens up the door to an entire country and even beyond its borders into India.
We have a few others like Pastor Fiaz from some other countries as well, such as Nepal in Asia, Sweden in Europe, Zimbabwe in Africa, and Brazil in South America. Of course, we have had people from the U.S. who have translated books in past years, particularly into Spanish.
It seems that at the present time, God has raised up at least one person from each continent. This is encouraging to me, because it shows that the greater work has already begun. The more books we have that are translated into foreign languages, the more those countries are being prepared for the Open Door Ministry that has been prophesied for decades. It has taken a long time to write the books, and now the translation and printing phase is coming more into focus.
This tells me that God will soon remove the travel restrictions. While men talk about the so-called “vaccine passports” that may be imposed upon those who travel by plane, I know that God laughs at their restrictions. When the time comes for me to travel, He will make it look easy. No man can withstand the plan of God, and no man can withstand an idea whose time has come. Our “idea” is the New Covenant message of the Gospel of the Kingdom.
Its time has come.
