There is an old revelation from about 1980, used often in the Net of Prayer in those days: “July is like September.” In other words, every year some revelation or event occurs in July which is directly connected to the same date in September. Every year we closely monitor the month of July to obtain clues about September.
Often this means that June is like August as well, especially events occurring toward the end of June. In this case, the Tyson-Holyfield fight occurred June 28, the day the 18 women finished their tour (spiritual warfare) in China. The Pearl of the Orient, Hong Kong, was given back to China (from one dragon to another) on July 1st. So this was the time frame to watch two months later.
The problem is that June only has 30 days, while August has 31 days. So this raised a question about July 1st. Were we to watch Sept. 1st or August 31st? We did not know until Princess Diana was killed on August 31st.
Establishing Boundaries on the Gulf Coast
In August of 1997, my wife and I were led to make a lengthy trip to Texas, then to the Florida Keys, then to Huntersville, NC. The work was to be finished August 28, two months after June 28, and then we were to return home by Sept. 1st, two months after July 1st. The purpose of the trip was to do spiritual warfare to protect the Bride—the Pearl of Great Price—from the red dragon.
My wife's name, Darla, is related to the Hebrew word dar, which means “pearl.” (See Strong's Conc. #1858.) On this trip, she represented prophetically the Pearl of Great Price. The primary work was to set a boundary marker on Padre Island off the coast of Corpus Christi, TX, then at Key West, FL, and finally in Huntersville, NC, declaring that this land was off-limits to the attack by the red dragon. This prohibition would last precisely one year, and during that time, no hurricanes would hit the coast.
Deuteronomy 19:14 says, “You shall not move your neighbor's boundary mark.” This Scripture was our authorization to establish those boundaries. In essence, we were posting “No Trespassing” signs for the dragon. Corpus Christi was in danger of being swallowed up by a hurricane representing the red dragon. We knew that this was the primary “pearl” that the dragon wished to consume. God would not allow this, so He set a boundary that could not be crossed.
We used ashes sent by a women’s intercessory group (south of Houston), who were identified with the red heifer (Numbers 19:2). Recall that the ashes of the red heifer were to be used under the Old Covenant to cleanse the people from impurity (Numbers 19:9). Thus, when we cast the ashes from the red heifers group into the water at Padre Island, Key West, and Huntersville, NC, we were symbolically setting the boundaries with the mark of Christ, who died on the cross near the place on the Mount of Olives where the ashes had been stored.
On the long drive from Corpus Christi to Key West, I recalled something else that I had learned years earlier in the Net of Prayer. When the enemy is deprived of its primary target, it will often seek a secondary target. As I pondered this, I came to the conclusion that the dragon would find another woman, someone representing the Church. She would not be from America, since we were setting boundaries here. Most likely, she would be from Europe, perhaps from Britain, since Prince Charles had presided over the transfer ceremonies in Hong Kong on July 1st.
The target would be taken either August 31st or September 1st, since either date could be the parallel July 1st event, when Britain released the Pearl of the Orient. Beyond that, I had no distinct discernment, other than the timing.
Well, we finished our work at Huntersville, NC on August 28 and began driving home to Minnesota. We came to Detroit on the night of August 31, and when I turned on the television at the hotel, they were talking about the death of Princess Diana. She was the alternate “pearl” consumed by the dragon. Since the royal family is the official head of the Church of England, this established Diana as a type of the Church. And the flag of Wales is the only one in the world that features a red dragon (or “griffin”).
The red dragon had consumed an alternate “pearl” at precisely the time we had discerned two months earlier. This ended “round one” of the Dragon Wars.
Hurricane Allison (1989)
Shortly after placing the boundary marker on Padre Island, we drove to Victoria, TX, where Darla and I were re-married according to the New Covenant pattern on August 22, 1997. This event had been revealed (obscurely) on June 11, 1989. This word sent me to Corpus Christi shortly afterward.
“You will go to the shores of the Gulf, point the staff at the dragon in the sea, and prophesy his destruction…This shall prevent the hurricane from striking the city, and it shall die. On the second time you enter Corpus Christi, the Bride shall be crowned with glory and raised up to sit in My throne with Me.”
When I began my trip on June 19, 1989, there was no hurricane in the Gulf. I was required to go first to four different places to pray and decree certain matters. Only when I got to the middle of Texas on June 26 did I hear news reports that Hurricane Allison had formed in the Gulf. It sat stationary, not moving as it gained strength.
I arrived in Corpus Christi the next day, June 27, spoke to the hurricane, forbidding it to strike land. The hurricane then died. The weather reports explained that wind sheer had cut off its head.
At the time, I wondered what God meant when He spoke about “the second time you enter Corpus Christi.” This remained a mystery until 1997, when the word of the Lord instructed me to return. I then began to make preparations for the second trip, knowing that this was part of the dragon war.
The New Covenant Wedding
In preparing for this trip, many people received pieces of revelation that I needed to gain an understanding of the purpose of the mission. On August 16 Martin Paulat called to tell me of a vision that he had. He had seen a huge 18-wheeler driving at high speed down the highway. I was the “cab,” and Darla was the “trailer.” Suddenly, there was a huge crash, and the two became one. Yet afterward, the truck continued on its journey with no damage.
At first, Martin was alarmed, wondering if we were in danger of crashing the car. But the Lord told him no, that Darla was to come with me on this trip, and that we would come into full unity.
Another friend from Oklahoma called to share a vision from a friend who had seen an 18-wheeler with the word “Victoria” written in large letters on the side of the trailer. He said that he believed something needed to be done in Victoria.
So I took Darla and the children with me on this trip, leaving August 19. (This was the date parallel to June 19, when the group of intercessors had flown to China to begin their tour.) We set the boundary on Padre Island on August 21 and then spent the night in Corpus Christi.
The next day we drove to Victoria, where Bob Henley performed our New Covenant wedding ceremony. Darla was dressed in a pearl-colored dress with matching shoes, and she had a pearl ring. Bill and Joan Thorpe, who were from Georgetown, were our witnesses. This was how the word from 1989 was fulfilled, where the Bride was crowned with glory. The wedding also fulfilled the vision that Martin had been given about coming into full unity.
From Victoria, we drove to Pearland—just south of Houston—where we spent the night and shared the day’s events with the red heifer group. They had given us the ashes to use in setting the boundary markers along the Gulf coast.
Finishing the Trip
From Pearland, we drove to Key West, Florida on August 26 and stood at the southernmost point of North America. After praying and setting the boundary marker there, we drove to Huntersville, NC. There we established the final boundary marker on August 28. This completed the work that we were supposed to do on this trip.
Two days later, on August 30, we arrived in Detroit, where we stopped for the night at a hotel. The television news was just then reporting that Princess Diana had died in a car accident in Paris, where it was already August 31st. I knew immediately that she was the alternate “pearl” that the red dragon had consumed. The two-month parallel time traced back to July 1st, when Prince Charles returned Hong Kong to China and the Pearl of the Orient was consumed by the dragon.
It was also 414 days after Margaret Price had been attacked in her feet on July 13, 1996. Recall that this was the original attack on the Pearl of Great Price, which had initiated the Dragon War.
We were saddened by Diana’s death, because we were unable to prevent the dragon from taking a secondary target. Yet we were satisfied that we had done the work to protect the Body of Christ, which had been the dragon’s primary target.
One final thought...Princess Diana and Prince Charles were divorced on August 28, 1996. This was a year before we set the final boundary at Huntersville, NC. If I had known this at the time, I might have realized that Diana would be the alternate "pearl" that would be consumed by the dragon.
Expiration of the Boundary Markers
Our boundary markers were effective for one year. After a year passed, the red dragon was again hungry. On August 22, 1998 tropical storm Charley struck Corpus Christi and flooded nearby towns. Our boundary marker had expired the previous day. Fortunately, Charley was not a hurricane, yet perhaps it signified a certain level of judgment upon the church. 1 Peter 4:17 KJV says that “judgment must begin at the house of God.”
Yet this tropical storm raises another question. Did Prince Charles (Charley) have anything to do with this? He was the one representing the griffin (red dragon) who gave the Pearl of the Orient to China, another red dragon. Did he also give Princess Diana to the red dragon as an alternate target?
On August 26, 1998, Hurricane Bonnie made landfall over Cape Fear in North Carolina, east of Huntersville. Recall that we had set the boundary at Key West, Florida on August 26, 1997 and at Huntersville, NC on August 28, 1997. Hurricane Bonnie struck North Carolina precisely one year after we had set the boundary marker at Key West. It hit Cape Fear but did not travel inland to Huntersville, because the boundary marker did not expire until two days later.
On September 3, 1998 Hurricane Earl struck near Panama City, FL, dumping 23 inches of rain. This was well past the one-year mark. The boundary markers proved to be effective for a full year, probably saving the taxpayers billions of dollars. I would have sent them a bill, but it is not likely that they would have paid any attention.
Overall, round one of the Dragon War showed us that the red dragon was limited in his ability to bring judgment upon the church. Sin empowers these spiritual entities to bring judgment, but intercession and spiritual warfare sets the boundaries of judgment. I pray that God will raise up and train intercessors in every nation to do this work.
