On June 19, 2001 we drove to Eau Claire, Wisconsin to meet with local people who desired to respond as a group to the New Covenant Marriage Proposal. Here is the Proposal as I heard His word to me:
I, Jesus Christ, married My first love, the nation of Israel, at a place called Mount Sinai. Yet from the beginning, Israel loved the golden calf more than Me, though I was willing to give her all the blessings of heaven and earth. She turned My house into a brothel, and though I sent many prophets to her, she refused to hear them. And so I finally gave her a bill of divorce (Jeremiah 3:8) and sent her out of My house in accordance with the law (Deuteronomy 24:1-4).
Israel then married her lover, and according to the law, I was forbidden ever to remarry her, even if her second husband should die or divorce her. Yet I gave My word to prophets that I would yet betroth her unto Myself in faithfulness (Hosea 2:20). This was possible only if I would die, for it is only by death and resurrection that I could have become a new person in the eyes of the law. So I came to earth, setting aside My glory, making Myself of no reputation. I came as a servant, born of a woman and died as a man.
But I was raised in glory, a new creation, now eligible to marry whomsoever I will. Yet for the next two thousand years, Israel wandered, oppressed and in darkness, still bound by marriage to her second husband. I sent apostles to her, empowered by a new anointing of Pentecost to call her to repentance and divorce her oppressive husband. While many individuals did heed this call, the nation itself did not divorce the golden calf.
In the fullness of time, I gave Israel a new thing, the printing press, by which My Word could go forth to the common people. I gave translators, so that the people could read My Word in their own languages. I instilled within the hearts of many Israelites the desire to establish a new nation built upon the principles of My Word. They came to this new continent with solemn covenants to betroth themselves to Me and to build My house and My Kingdom in the earth. I gave this new land its independence, so that it could fulfill its purpose. I called it America, the "Heavenly Kingdom," as a witness to the world.
But others came to this new land as well, with different purposes and desires. They came to worship the golden calf, and their dream was to become wealthy. They had no intention of divorcing their husband, for they were in agreement with his moral principles. Inspired by the golden calf, they saw nothing wrong with oppressing others in violation of My law. So I took away their freedom and put them into bondage to a foreign economic system. I took away prayer from their schools, truth from their churches, and empowered the wicked to remove all traces of My presence from the government and public institutions.
Yet now, I say that the time has come to speak words of comfort and peace. The time has come to pour out My Spirit upon all flesh. You, America, are the first of the nations to divorce the golden calf. You are the first to annul the covenant with death. I rejoice now, for I have long awaited a corporate Bride that would truly manifest My love to all the nations of the earth.
I want to express My abiding love for you, America, for you are Israel to Me. Marry Me, and be My glory that covers the earth as the waters cover the sea. I propose a New Covenant Marriage, not like the covenant made under Moses, which was broken, but a Covenant which is truly unconditional, for I will manifest My life and glory through you until all things are restored and creation itself rejoices in its liberty from all sin and death.
(Signed)
Jesus Christ
Here is the response that I sent to the mailing list for ratification of the Proposal. Incidentally, we received 444 positive responses.
We, the representatives of the spiritual government of America, in response to Your New Covenant marriage proposal, can only say AMEN to all that You have said. We acknowledge our sin as a nation, and we agree that Your judgments against us are fully justified.
We accept Your New Covenant Marriage Proposal.
We ask only that You send Your Spirit upon us and upon the entire nation, so that Your Bride can make herself ready for marriage. Give America the white robe of righteousness and adorn her with the fruits of the Spirit. Let her become a wife that is worthy of One who loves her as much as You.
We ask that You would send the fullness of Your Holy Spirit upon all the Overcomers who are called to manifest Your love and glory to the rest of the nation. Let us be conduits of blessing and healing to all, until the entire nation proclaims You as their only King, and Your law as their only law.
Let America set the example of godly righteousness that will make all nations yearn to be part of the Kingdom of God. Let all the earth rejoice.
We ask that You would begin the process of inner healing within us and all the overcomers that would bring us into complete divine health. Imprint upon us all the Image of Christ, that we might fully represent You to those around us.
We also pray that all the angels of the overcomers would be released to fulfill the work in them in regard to the second work of Christ.

God then gave a huge diamond ring to His Bride, visible in the sky across Africa in the form of a solar eclipse.
One writer, Ernie Piini, traveled to Zambia to view the eclipse. (He died in 2016). He wrote an article on June 21, 2001 describing what he saw:
https://ephemeris.sjaa.net/0108/EphAug01.pdf
On a narrow road along an embankment overlooking a large pond on the Karubwe farm, eleven members of the “migrant travelers” group set up their telescopes and other recording equipment in anticipation of viewing the first total solar eclipse of the twenty-first century. Ably led by Madelyn Dovano of Los Gatos, California, this expedition met at this scenic site on the eastern edge of Chisamba, a few miles northeast of Lusaka, the capitol city of Zambia.
The group experienced an unusual three days of cloudless skies leading up to this first eclipse of the new millennium. The moon nibbled its first bite of the eastern edge of the sun at 1:41:57 p.m., signaling first contact.
Our site along the side of a blue pond provided an exciting, unobstructed view of the shadow of the moon as it approached from the west. The moon shadow, always exciting, was best viewed later when we saw the video tape recording made by Dr. Shiloh Unruh, a former astronomer from Mount Hamilton near San Jose, California. He used six camcorders mounted on a circular platform to record six different aspects of the eclipse.
As the ingressing partial eclipse phase progressed towards totality, the air cooled and the sky darkened. A slight breeze over the pond ceased as the big show arrived. When the last rays of sunlight became hidden by the moon, 2nd contact clocked in at 3:09:58 p.m. Moments before, a startling “Diamond Ring” flashed before us as shouts of approval could be heard from the expeditioners and curious locals.
The clicking of camera shutters could be heard as photographers took countless photos and busily recorded this spectacular event with video camcorders. Another, unexpected diamond ring presentation took place when Chris Somerville kneeled before his lady friend, Erin Mumm, and asked as he placed a diamond ring on her finger, “Erin, will you be my wife?” She accepted immediately. We learned of this romantic event after totality. Both are from Tennessee.
When God first revealed His marriage proposal in March of 2001, I did not know that a solar eclipse would occur just two days after the betrothal. Jesus is such a romantic!
Keep in mind that this was a betrothal, not the wedding itself. We are still waiting for the actual wedding that will fulfill the prophecy in Revelation 19:7. This suggests that we are not yet fully ready. On the other hand, in a biblical betrothal, the bride was considered to be the wife of her future husband, because the betrothal was based on an agreement. So, as the earlier revelation said, “No longer consider yourself to be separate from Christ.”
Our betrothal has lasted 20 years (as of 2021), much longer than I had thought possible. But then, when God proposed to Abraham in Genesis 12:1-3. He promised protection, many children, and a calling. The bride in this case had to leave her father’s house, just as Abraham was called to leave his father’s house. These were the terms of the betrothal, and God later married Abraham’s descendants (Israel) at Mount Sinai.
I hope we don’t have to wait 430 years! Fortunately, God is merciful.
