I talked to Pastor Fiaz today, and he told me that the book of tracts is finally at the printshop and the printing should be finished next week. Along with this single book, he is printing 2,000 each of the tracts separately. So this is a fairly big project.
This proved to be a lengthy task, translating 12 tracts and then getting endorsements from the prominent Christian scholars and teachers in Pakistan. I also wrote a short personal biography to introduce myself. He promised to send me some copies of the printed books and tracts when they are finished.
He has also now translated 6 chapters of The Restoration of All Things. He has only 3 more chapters to translate in that book, except that I have asked him to include the pocket-size book, A Short History of Universal Reconciliation. This will probably be a tenth and final chapter in the Urdu edition. I believe that short history will prove very valuable to those who read it, as it will answer the obvious question: How did this teaching get lost?
Pastor Fiaz is also looking forward to translating The Laws of the Second Coming. This will be a longer project and may take a few months to complete. We had planned to do that earlier, but because the tracts raised so many questions about Universal Reconciliation, we decided it was best to do The Restoration of All Things before moving on to other topics.
As these books and tracts are completed, they are being incorporated into the curriculum of the various private Christian schools, Bible Colleges, and Seminaries. There is already a lot of demand for these materials.
Greater Understanding of Old Principles
Fiaz told me again today that these are deep truths that are written in simple language that is fairly easy to translate into Urdu. That, of course, is music to my ears, as clarity is my top priority. Fiaz tells me that many of the people are amazed that they had never heard such teachings.
As an example, he said that the concept of God’s “fiery law” in Deuteronomy 33:2 KJV had never occurred to the people before reading about it in the tracts. Everyone just skipped over this verse without understanding its significance. They had always assumed that the fire was literal as well as unending.
But seeing the fire as the law of God and its judgments—which are spelled out in great detail in the law of Moses, explained by the prophets, and clarified in the New Testament—is having a powerful life-changing effect on the people’s perspective and understanding of the word.
Pastor Fiaz again told me that he had prayed in the past to find those who could teach him the deeper things of God. Then he found my site. Meanwhile, of course, he was an answer to my own prayer that God would raise up key people in other countries who could translate the books into other languages and then bring the message to the people.
We both marvel at the way God has answered our prayers.
Pastor Fiaz has also started teaching the Numbers book online, especially for those who are unable to read and write. Such people need to see it on a computer screen and to hear it taught in their own language. Fiaz does a great job at this, and the people seem very hungry and thirsty to hear the word of God explained to them.
Speaking of being thirsty for the word….
Clean Water Project
Pastor Fiaz is also wanting to obtain clean water for the school, since the groundwater is quite contaminated by industrial waste. Many people get sick because they have nothing else to drink but polluted water. So I am planning to help out with the Clean Water Project. I do not know yet how much this will cost, or how much of the cost we can cover, but we will pray about it and do as God leads.
Projects like this are worth their weight in gold, simply because the people are very grateful for our help in such a practical way. Recall also that a few months ago we sent money to buy 100 Bibles to distribute among those who could not afford one. Pastor Fiaz had the store emboss our ministry name in the Bibles, which, of course, gives us some name recognition and creates a favorable impression of the things we teach. We consider that to be in our advertising budget!
Whatever we are led to do, of course, comes mostly through your generous contributions toward this ministry, so you have a right to know about this project. I appreciated the fact that some of you already sent donations to help with the cost of printing the books. I thank you, and Pastor Fiaz thanks you as well.
