We went into captivity to Mystery Babylon via the Federal Reserve Act in 1913 because the church failed to repent for its unbiblical treatment of the Native Americans. Having lost the truths of the New Covenant mindset, they treated the Indians as sub-human, viewing them as modern “Canaanites” and themselves as Israelites under Joshua.
They did not realize that if the Israelites had been willing to hear the voice of God at Mount Sinai, the law would have been written on their hearts and they would have known the mind of God. They would have received the sword of the Spirit, which is His word, and they would have conquered the Canaanites by the power of the New Covenant gospel—the “good news.”
But this form of conquest had to await the coming of Christ and the Pentecostal Age. The apostles received this sword of the Spirit in the upper room and used it effectively throughout the first century. But gradually, this sword was dropped and ultimately lost. The church was left with an Old Covenant mindset and used a physical sword to convert people to the church (rather than to Christ).
More than a thousand years later, the Christian Europeans came to America and saw themselves as Israelites inheriting the land of Canaan. While there was a level of truth to this, most had not yet reversed their Old Covenant mindset, for they were more devoted to the church than to Christ.
There were notable exceptions to this, especially in Pennsylvania, but also 400 years ago in 1621 at the Pilgrims’ first Thanksgiving. This feast of ingathering (our “Tabernacles” festival) saw the Pilgrims feasting in peace and harmony with the local Indian tribe. We are now coming up on the 400th anniversary of this celebration in November—an important time marker.
2021 is also 414 years since the Jamestown colony was founded in 1607. Hence, this is also a watershed year to see if we will repent and move into Blessed Time, or if we will be judged on Cursed Time. This is a watershed year.
In my view, the mistreatment of the Indians was a major symptom, a natural outworking of a spiritual problem. The root problem was Old Covenant Christianity, which read the Bible diligently but did not hear and understand the word given to Isaiah, “My house will be called a house of prayer for all the peoples” (Isaiah 56:7).
Solomon’s Temple was Built by Foreigners
In fact, this is the underlying reason why the majority of the temple builders were foreigners. We read in 2 Chronicles 2:17, 18,
17 Solomon numbered all the aliens who were in the land of Israel, following the census which his father David had taken; and 153,600 were found. 18 He appointed 70,000 of them to carry loads and 80,000 to quarry stones in the mountains and 3,600 supervisors to make the people work.
The number 153 gives the numeric value of “the sons of God” in Hebrew. The number 600 is the numeric value of the Greek word, cosmos, “the world.” These numbers are thus applied to “aliens,” not to biological Israelites. They were aliens living in Israel who had subjected themselves to the laws of God and who would later worship Him at the temple in Jerusalem. So aliens, having faith in God, were the main builders of the temple, prophetically setting forth the pattern seen in the New Testament.
In Ephesians 2:11-13 Paul speaks of those aliens, telling us that they were no longer aliens but citizens who were being built into a spiritual temple. Ephesians 2:19 says,
19 So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God’s household.
The rest of the chapter tells us that they are the building blocks of God’s true Temple.
The Carnal Way of Doing This
The Christians in America, represented by their government, thought it good to “kill the Indian and save the man.”
During the 19th and into the 20th century, Native American children were forced or pressured to attend Christian and government-run boarding schools or day schools. The purpose was to ‘kill the Indian and save the man.’
The churches may have taken on this mission with the best of intentions, given their shared beliefs at the time. But in fact, the schools carried out a deliberate policy of ethnocide and cultural genocide. Children were punished for speaking their native languages, banned from conducting traditional or cultural practices, shorn of traditional clothing and identity of their native culture. Many were sent far from their homelands and cut off from their family. Most were taught that their culture and traditions were evil and sinful, and taught that they should be ashamed of being Native American. Countless children were frequently neglected and even abused physically, sexually, and psychologically.
That policy led them to take Indian children out of their native culture and hand them over to various Christian denominations to change their culture. By doing this, they hoped to integrate them into mainstream European culture and elevate them from being “subhuman” to fully human.
Apparently, it did not occur to them that changing one’s culture brought about only an outward, soulish change. To turn an Indian into a European in itself did nothing to address the heart problem which is God’s focus. They missed the point entirely and only made matters worse. They did not understand the New Covenant, for they had lost the spiritual sword many centuries earlier—in spite of the Reformation and many “revivals” along the way.
We addressed this issue in 2013 in a 40-day time of intercession, which I wrote about here:

I believe that this resulted in forgiveness:

As we repented on behalf of the nation, I believe that we obtained forgiveness in this key issue, which came due this year (2021) after 414 years. We will soon enter a time of restoration, where the New Covenant gospel will be preached once again. The coming move of the Holy Spirit will be our sword of the Spirit, whereby we will conquer the nations the right way—by the love of Christ and by Abrahamic faith.
