Isaiah 28:16 KJV says, “he that believeth shall not make haste.” The Hebrew word translated “make haste” is koosh, “to make haste, hurry.” God is never in a hurry to get things done. Knowing the end from the beginning has its advantages.
Many wonder why they gain victory in prayer campaigns but fail to see the results of their victory for many years. We might ask the same question in regard to Operation Snowmageddon, which took ten years to manifest (2010-2020). The answer lies mainly in the fact that God does things years in advance so that when the problem emerges, there is no need to rush. He has already done the main work ahead of time, leaving relatively little to do when the problem actually emerges in the earth.
Secondly, He does it this way in order to give value to the prayer campaign. This was one of the lessons that I learned in the 1980’s in my years of training in spiritual warfare. During one of our prayer campaigns in those days, a prophet shared the revelation that when people engaged in spiritual warfare long before the problem was seen by all, they were walking by faith and not by sight. Their obedience was a response of faith, rather than fear.
God told him that such faith carried so much weight that it only took a few people to gain victory in battle. Whereas it might take only a few prayer warriors to win a victory in spiritual warfare while the danger was yet future, it might take a million prayer warriors to gain the same level of victory after the danger was seen by all.
Therefore, when God calls for prayer campaigns with only a few signs of danger to be seen, He is taking into account the low level of faith in the church. He calls the few to bless the many. These respond by faith and are willing to expend spiritual energy on projects that appear to most Christians to be useless and meaningless. Their faith carries value with God, and they are able to accomplish mighty things that others are unable to do.
Some prayer projects are done thousands of years ahead of time, spanning a period of many generations. So we see David’s great prayer in Psalm 67 to reveal God’s “salvation” to all the nations. This prayer hardly began to manifest prior to Pentecost in Acts 2, which was a thousand years later.
Likewise, Jesus prayed “Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10). This has taken a long time to fulfill, and we are yet repeating that prayer today.
The prayer of faith is not wasted, even if it seems to fail. When we hear His voice and prove it by responding in obedience, faith is born. Faith moves heaven and earth. Heaven rejoices over faith, even as a woman rejoices when her child is born.
When we engage in spiritual warfare, we fight side by side with Daniel and all of the faithful ones from the beginning of time. The battle that Daniel fought in the heavens against the world empires (Daniel 10:13, 20, 21) is the same battle that we fight today. In the big picture, it is the age-long battle to overcome the effects of Adam’s sin and to reestablish Christ’s right to rule that which He created.
The heavens are not bound by time in the same way that we are in our daily lives. When we enter that timeless realm to engage in spiritual warfare, we find ourselves fighting shoulder to shoulder with the prophets, saints, and faithful ones from the beginning of time. It is the same battle, except that each fights in a unique part of the battlefield. Each has his or her own obstacle to overcome.
In this way, God allows people from many generations to participate in the great cosmic warfare at the same (spiritual) time. This is how we ourselves are able to conduct spiritual warfare as directed by the Holy Spirit. Isaiah 61:1 indicates that we are able even to set the prisoners free—many of whom are Christian prisoners of war in this heavenly battle.
I myself was a prisoner of war until 1981, when the Net of Prayer first went into battle. Their overall prayer was to free “God’s chosen elect” from the Broken Cross system (i.e., the corrupted church). When the battle began (without my knowledge), my life changed forever.
The Importance of the Year 2010
The year 2010 was the second endpoint from America’s beginning in 1620, when the Pilgrims landed at Plymouth Rock. The first endpoint, of course, was the Virginia colony, which was established in 1607, and whose endpoint was 1997.
On October 4, 1997 the Promise Keepers descended upon Washington D.C. to crown Jesus King. On August 28, 2010 Glenn Beck organized his “Restoring Honor” rally in Washington, which again crowned Jesus King as a double witness to what was done in 1997. In both cases, only a few of them had much understanding of the timing of these rallies. Few even understood the significance of the number 390, “No King in Israel.”
Nonetheless, all who participated in those rallies added their prayers to the overall battle in the heavens, whether they understood it or not. I find it amazing how God leads people precisely at the right time, even if they have no knowledge of God’s timing.
The year 2010 was also 6 x 490 years after the death of Solomon (931 B.C.), when Israel and Judah were divided into two nations. That split separated the Scepter of Judah from the Birthright of Joseph. Each nation had a distinct calling, but both parts were necessary to establish the Kingdom fully. Judah provided the King (Genesis 49:10); Joseph provided the authority to be fruitful and to bring forth the sons of God (Genesis 49:22).
Joseph himself had two sons who each added to the overall prophecy through their names. Ephraim means “double portion of fruit,” while Manasseh means “causing to forget.” When Israel was exiled to Assyria in 721 B.C., Manasseh’s name began to be fulfilled through the lost tribes of Israel. Yet during the time when the Israelite tribes were forgotten and presumed dead, they multiplied themselves, according to the prophecy in Hosea 1:10,
10 Yet the number of the sons of Israel will be like the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured or numbered; and in the place where it is said to them, “You are not My people,” it will be said to them, “You are the sons of the living God.”
It would take two comings of Christ to reunite the sticks of Judah and Joseph. He came the first time through the tribe of Judah to claim His throne rights; He comes the second time through the tribes of Joseph to claim His birthright. Most Christians do not understand this, because they think the Jews are Israel. By applying Israel’s prophecies to the Jews, they are blinded to many great truths of Scripture. God intended for this to happen, of course, for that is the significance of the name Manasseh, “causing to forget.”
But 2010 was the Year of Joseph’s Manifestation. It was the point where Manasseh’s prophetic role came to an end and Ephraim’s prophetic role began to be dominant.
The Time of Jacob’s Distress
2010 was 6 x 490 years after Solomon died and the kingdom was divided. It was also 14 x 210 years. The number 210 signifies “the time of Jacob’s distress” (Jeremiah 30:7). Jacob had two times of “distress,” each 21 years in length. The first was when he was in exile (working for Laban) for 20 years. He returned in the 21st year, which was a Sabbath year. Hence, for 21 years Jacob was distressed by hard labor in exile.
The second time of distress was when Joseph was separated from him. Joseph had his dreams when he was 17 (Genesis 37:2). This caused his brothers to sell him as a slave, and he was sold in Egypt. The book of Jasher (See 2 Samuel 1:18.) tells us that he was 18 when he was taken to Egypt (Jasher 44:14). Joseph was 30 when he rose to power. He was 37 when the years of plenty ended. He was 39 in the second year of the famine when he revealed himself to his family.
Jacob’s distress lasted 21 years, from when Joseph was 18 until he was 39. This was the second “time of Jacob’s distress.” The number 21 is the biblical number for distress, but on a national level, Israel had two times of distress, both set forth in terms of 210 years.
First, Israel was in Egypt for 210 years. (See Secrets of Time, chapter 14.) This was Israel’s first time of distress, which ran parallel to Jacob’s 21 years of exile and hard labor under Laban.
Second, when Israel—specifically, the tribes of Joseph—were separated from Judah after the death of Solomon, this began a 210-year cycle from 931-721 B.C. The year 721 B.C. was Israel’s 14th Jubilee since the Jordan crossing. If they had declared a Jubilee, they might have avoided captivity and exile. However, they did not declare a Jubilee, so God declared a Jubilee over their land, setting the land free from its oppressors—the Israelites.
This 210-year cycle was thus extended for 13 more cycles of 210 years until 2010 A.D. This was a 210-year cycle for each of the 13 tribes (including Levi). Yet dating from the division in 931 B.C., there are actually 14 cycles of 210 years to 2010. The number 14 is the biblical number for deliverance or release. This suggests that Israel was to begin to be released from its long time of distress in 2010 A.D.
That is why 2010 was the Year of Joseph’s Manifestation. It was the time when Joseph began to reveal Himself and to assert his authority to bring forth the sons of God, as prophesied by Hosea. Nonetheless, it is obvious that this was only a starting point, for most Christians, like the world at large, are still blind to the calling of Joseph and his significance in prophecy. They do not understand the 390-year cycle, nor do they understand the 210-year cycles of Jacob’s distress.
