The eighth sign of Elisha was the capping of the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico on July 15, 2010. This date was a prophetic type of the first day of the feast of Tabernacles, which biblically fell on the 15th day of the 7th month on the Hebrew calendar. On our calendar 7/15 is July 15, and we have often observed signs of Tabernacles from July 15-22.
On August 1, 2010 the television series, Rubicon, began to air, and we were reminded of our own “crossing the Rubicon” a few months earlier on March 8, 2021. The series ended just a few months later on November 11, due to low ratings.

As I wrote earlier, the San Jose mine in Chile collapsed on August 5, trapping 33 miners 2300 feet below the surface. They were rescued on the 70th day, October 13. The number 70 is the biblical number for the restoration of all nations. In Genesis 10 there are 70 nations that came from Noah’s three sons. This is why there were 70 elders under Moses (Numbers 11:16) and also 70 disciples whom Jesus sent out to minister (Luke 10:1).
Furthermore, Adam died at the age of 930, which was 70 years short of 1000 (the glory of God). This suggests that the number 70, in some way, is needed to restore mankind to the glory of God. The miners in Chile, who all emerged from their ordeal as believers, were restored on the 70th day of their burial, as if they were being raised from the dead. The capsule in which they were brought to the surface was named Fenix, or Phoenix, the mythical bird of resurrection.
On September 15, during their burial and death experience, a wife of one of the trapped minors gave birth to a son who was named Esperanza, “Hope.” The miner himself was named Ariel Ticona, and his wife was Elizabeth.
Two days before the collapse of the mine in Chile, Glenn Beck’s rally, “Restoring Hope,” gathered in Washington D.C. to crown Jesus King.
In 2010 the feast of Tabernacles was celebrated from September 23-30. We held another conference at Sweetwater, TN on the weekend of September 24-26. In the middle of our conference the FDIC filed for bankruptcy in the wake of the bank closures that had occurred over the previous two years since the Lehman Brothers collapse. The FDIC insures bank deposits of all FDIC member banks, but they ran out of money and had to be bailed out by the federal government.
An Ancient Dispute
I have already written about the importance of 2010 in long-term prophecy. 2010 was 6 x 490 years after the death of Solomon (931 B.C.), when the House of Israel revolted from the House of Judah (1 Kings 12:16, 19). 2010 was also 7 x 390 years from the fall of Samaria in 721 B.C. The final 390-year cycle was from 1620-2010, beginning with the Pilgrim landing on Plymouth Rock in 1620.
The intent of the Pilgrims and Puritans was to live in a place where Jesus Christ was recognized as the legitimate King. Their efforts met with great opposition, of course, because the kings of England considered themselves to be rightful rulers. The problem was that these earthly kings had usurped the place of Christ by ruling according to their own will, much as Saul had done in the days of Samuel.
The real question was whether or not Saul was a legitimate king. Scripture tells us that because the people had demanded a man to rule over them, God gave them their desire (1 Samuel 8:4-9). Hence, Saul was a legitimate king, but he also represented divine judgment upon the people for their desire to be ruled by men, rather than by God.
This spiritual problem extended far beyond the time that Israel was in the land of Canaan and even beyond the period of the Divided Kingdom. Saul had been crowned on the day of “wheat harvest” (1 Samuel 12:17), which was the feast of weeks, later called Pentecost. Thus, Saul was an Old Testament Pentecostal, and his 40-year rule was a prophetic type of the church, which God crowned in Acts 2 with the spiritual authority to rule the world.
Christian monarchs rose up in later centuries, who were legitimized by the Roman bishops, and the entire system of Christian government was a manifestation of the house of Saul. It was legitimate, but at the same time, it was not God’s ideal. So the dispute between the British monarchs and the Puritans/Pilgrims should be seen in that light. The ancient dispute between God and the people over legitimate government was at the forefront of America’s founding.
Unfortunately, neither the Pilgrims nor the British monarchs seemed to connect the dispute to the story of King Saul. They did not know that the day the wheat offering was offered to God in Exodus 34:22 was when the people were allowed to harvest their wheat (Leviticus 23:14). Hence, the Feast of Weeks was also known as the day of wheat harvest—the same day wherein Saul was crowned king (1 Samuel 12:17).
This is one of the great keys in Scripture that unlock prophecy so that we today may understand the great issues of the church and the world at large.
The Republic
A movement in America arose in 2010 (right on schedule!) called The Republic. It sought to re-establish (“re-inhabit”) the original Republic that had been formed in 1776 with the Declaration of Independence and in 1789 under the Constitution. This American Republic was replaced by a Socialist Democracy in 1933 after the Republic went into bankruptcy. Another government took it over in the bankruptcy proceedings and immediately began to transform the country into a Babylonian system.
Technically, two systems of government remained side by side, but the representatives of the Republic vacated their offices and began to represent this new Socialist Democracy. The Republic never ceased to exist, but it simply remained dormant and “uninhabited” until September 23, 2010, when The Republic was officially reinhabited.
This occurred on the first day of the feast of Tabernacles in 2010. The congress of the restored Republic was fully seated on November 14, 2010, completing the three branches of government.
Of course, the government of the Socialist Democracy saw The Republic as a threat, but because so few people knew of its existence, they chose largely to ignore it. Nonetheless, the timing of this was significant, simply because it occurred in 2010—and on the feast of Tabernacles as well!
A year later, I wrote a series of 3 articles on The Republic of Israel in order to better inform the leaders of The Republic of their place in the history of the Kingdom.

Although I knew about the importance of 2010 in long-term prophecy, I was yet unaware that it would be another 7 years (2017) before the beast governments of “the times of the gentiles” would lose the mandate of heaven. I did not learn this until September of 2013 after completing my study in the book of Deuteronomy.
The law specified that if Israel was in disobedience, they would be punished “seven times” (Leviticus 26:18, 21, 24). Daniel 7:25 applies this law prophetically in terms of cycles of time, when the angel speaks of “a time, times, and half a time.” Finally, John reveals to us the precise number of “days” in a time. Revelation 13:5 says that “a time, times, and half a time” is “forty-two months.” It is the same as 1,260 days in Revelation 12:6 and 14.
In short-term prophecy, it is 1,260 days, but in long-term prophecy it is 1,260 years, because the Hebrew word yom can refer to either a day or a year. Daniel’s prophecy about the rise of four empires (Babylon, Persia, Greece, Rome, and extensions) are obviously long-term prophecy spanning thousands of years. Whereas Daniel focuses primarily on the first half of a 2,520-year period, John focuses primarily on the last half. Together, each passage prophesies of a different 1,260-year period for a total of 2,520 years.
From the fall of Jerusalem in 604 B.C., it was 2,520 years to the year 1917 A.D. But because the Grecian empire lost a century of its time to rule Jerusalem (from 163-63 B.C.), that lost century must be added at the end (1917-2017). Therefore, the beast empires lost the mandate of heaven in 2017, and it appears that it could take another 7 years for the Babylonian “tree” to all and actually hit the ground.
The Republic has had its own struggles over the years as it seeks to find the lawful way to proceed. From my point of view, God has given them time to learn until the final collapse of the beast system—perhaps in 2024.
