In 2015 the world took a downward turn into darkness, while the saints began to see a great light. This revelation came to me in The Netherlands. My wife and I had flown to Amsterdam on April 20, and we returned home on May 4, 2015. I perceived that May 4, 2015 was “a major turning point” toward the worldwide outpouring of the Holy Spirit. A friend, Anthony, wrote on May 4,
“By the way, did you notice what happened in the Spirit this morning? A powerful anointing swept forth like a mighty tsunami over the earth setting creation free! I watched as waves and waves of the Spirit swept the earth, breaking every yoke, every chain, every fetter, every bondage. Awesome! Talk about unbounded liberty! And this is not futuristic but for the now.”
The Great Light
The main revelation from the trip to The Netherlands was from Matthew 4:12-17,
12 Now when Jesus heard that John had been taken into custody, He withdrew into Galilee; 13 and leaving Nazareth, He came and settled in Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the region of Zebulun and Naphtali. 14 This was to fulfill what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet [Isaiah 9:2, 3], saying, 15 “The Land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, by the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles [Nations]—16 the people who were sitting in darkness saw a great light, and to those who were sitting in the land and shadow of death, upon them a light dawned.” 17 From that time Jesus began to preach and say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
Isaiah prophesied that this great light would break the yoke of bondage (Isaiah 9:4, 5), and he goes on to say that the government of Christ would then be established (Isaiah 9:6, 7).
Isaiah’s prophecy was fulfilled only partially when Jesus moved His ministry headquarters to Capernaum. Capernaum in Hebrew is Kippur Nahum, “Covering of the Comforter.” It prophesies of the outpouring of the Spirit that comes with the “great light.” Christ was indeed “the light of the world” (John 8:12), and “Galilee of the Nations” was a prophetic type of the nations of the world. In other words, the Light was to shine beyond the borders of Israel, giving light to all who dwell in darkness.
When Jesus ministered in Galilee, the actual tribes of Zebulun and Naphtali were long gone, having been taken to Assyria 700 years earlier. They were two of the so-called “lost tribes of Israel.” However, “the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali” saw the great light, though these lands were then settled by other tribes and by Greeks and Romans as well—hence, the name Galilee of the Nations.
The Netherlands, prophetically speaking, is Zebulun today. It is a great country, well educated and prosperous, but with legalized prostitution, drugs, and other forms of “darkness,” as Isaiah said. In the midst of the “shadow of death,” there is “a great light” that is coming to Holland—not exclusively, but to other nations as well. Yet I believe that The Netherlands has a unique role to play as a prophetic type of Zebulun.
The tribe of Naphtali appears to have settled in Sweden and Norway. Yair Davidy’s book, The Tribes, page 240 says,
“The Israelite Tribe of Naphtali therefore became the Naphtali-Huns (or Hephtalitesas they are also called) who together with the Dani (Tribe of Dan) were once in east Scythia. From east Scythia the Naphtali migrated to Norway and the Danes to Denmark. This was proven by Scandinavian tradition, by tracing names, by demographic considerations, and by archeological finds. The sons of Naphtali were Jahzeel, Guni, Jezer, and Shillem and these appellations are reminiscent of Scandinavian place and ethnic name such as Zebulun, Egan, Vraesan, and Sillund.”
So if the great light is seen in The Netherlands, it should also come to Scandinavia. It is not clear yet how Isaiah’s prophecy is to be taken. From my perspective, my trip to The Netherlands in 2015 focused my attention on “a great light” in the midst of darkness. When we returned to America on May 4, 2015, I discerned that we too were coming into a time of darkness to prepare for the great light.
The darkness itself is evidence of the soon-coming light, because the promise of light is preceded by the darkness. The prophet again speaks of this in Isaiah 60:1-3,
1 Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. 2 For behold, darkness will cover the earth, and deep darkness the peoples; but the Lord will rise upon you, and His glory will appear upon you. 3 And nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.
So we see that the light which, in Isaiah 9:1, was to be seen in the land of Zebulun and Naphtali, is later said to come to “you” while the darkness covers the earth. It is easy to focus on the darkness around us, but the prophet focuses upon the light shining in darkness. We are to be beacons of light in the darkness when the nations lose their way. Ultimately, this is a prophecy of transfiguration as well.
It is important to view the world as God sees it. The nations of Mystery Babylon operate in secret, that is, in darkness, for they hate the light which exposes them. The word Mystery means Secret. Mystery Babylon is a secret, hidden government that rules the nations. We live in a historic moment in time where the secrets are being exposed for all to see. When exposed, Mystery Babylon loses power. So we do not fight Babylon with carnal armaments. We shine the light in the darkness and fight Babylon with the weapons of truth.
Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton
On April 12, 2015, Hillary Clinton announced that she was a presidential candidate. The plan to bring America fully under the heel of Mystery Babylon was to take 16 years to accomplish—8 years under Obama to prepare the way, and another 8 years under Clinton to finish the plan. The election of Donald Trump in 2016 disrupted that plan, of course, but nonetheless, Clinton’s announcement foreshadowed the deepening darkness.
Russia’s Remarkable Renaissance
The tactic of the modern Babylonians has always been to divide and conquer and to pit one nation against another. It is part of the policy called “Balance of Power.” By keeping a balance, both sides are more easily controlled. Balance of Power is accomplished by tweaking the finances of each side through the banking system. Then if one of the powers gets out of line, it is easy to defeat them by pouring more money into the opposing side.
William F. Engdahl, an analyst who holds a degree in Politics from Princeton University, has an online magazine called New Eastern Outlook. He wrote an article in 2015 about the spiritual renaissance occurring in Russia, even as America was descending into moral chaos.
Something remarkable is taking place in Russia, and it’s quite different from what we might expect. Rather than feel humiliated and depressed, Russia is undergoing what I would call a kind of renaissance, a rebirth as a nation.
This despite or in fact because of the West, led by the so-called neo-conservatives in Washington, is trying everything including war on her doorstep in Ukraine, to collapse the Russian economy, humiliate Putin, and paint Russians generally as bad. But in the process, Russia is discovering positive attributes about her culture, her people, her land that had long been forgotten and suppressed…

Engdahl goes on to explain how the West had been demonizing Russia and trying to provoke Russia into a war over Ukraine. At the heart of the conflict is the attempt to keep Germany from allying peacefully with Russia instead of the USA. He concludes,
Ironically, Washington’s and now de facto NATO’s “undeclared war” against Russia has sparked this remarkable renaissance of the Russian spirit. For the first time in many years Russians are starting to feel good about themselves and to feel they are good in a world of some very bad people. It may be the factor that saves our world from a one world dictatorship of the bankers and their military.
Russian President Putin, once part of the Communist Party apparatus, has seen how Communism destroyed Russia’s Christian (Orthodox) heritage. After taking power, he began to restore Christian values in Russia and thus ran afoul of the policies of immorality being established in the West. Putin’s Russia thus became known as the “Defender of the Faith.”

This is the underlying reason why the West has demonized Putin and has cast Russia as an enemy. Even while the US Supreme Court was establishing gay marriage (June 26, 2015), Russia was outlawing it. While the West was turning into Sodom and Gomorrah—as prophesied in Isaiah 1:10—Russia was emerging from Communism’s policy of destroying the church and nullifying its Christian values.
It is astonishing to see the role reversal between Russia and America. While America descends into immorality and totalitarianism, Russia has gone from totalitarianism into a moral system that is more aligned with Christian values.
Perhaps the great light is beginning to shine in Russia. They still await a genuine move of the Holy Spirit, of course, but it seems that the way is being prepared for a greater light to come.
