On February 26, 2001 Carl Armstrong called to say that we were now in an “all-out war” in the heavens. In the previous week we had been more in a defense mode, with just a skirmish here and there. I now see that we had offered the enemy terms of peace (Deuteronomy 20:10) and had given them time to submit to Jesus’ terms of peace. But then at 3 pm on February 26, the deadline was passed, and the real war began.
We are in a parallel situation today, except that this time Canada is the main battleground. We now engage in spiritual warfare in the name of the United Kingdom of America. This was not the case back in 2001, so there has been an escalation. I will be gathering (online) with a few prayer warriors from Canada at 3 pm (CST) to pray into this battle.
This does not mean that you are left out or should sit on the sidelines. You are all involved already. Even those who do not read these reports are involved, whether they know it or not. Everyone has a stake in the future of the UKA. Everyone’s spirit is on one side or the other of this battle. Some are prisoners of war.
One interesting feature of this battle is that Bradley was given instructions to include this as part of our prayer for all of us:
“We pray to you, Lord Jesus, you who are the Christ and our righteousness (through the Holy Spirit who utters our pleadings to the Christ in a manner that we cannot attain), that He (the Christ) would have faith for and on our behalf, in the Father to be constantly and always AMONG us.”
This is obviously based on Galatians 2:16 KJV, which says, “a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ.”
Again, we read in Philippians 3:9 KJV,
9 And be found in Him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith.
In other words, our righteousness has its origin in the faith “of Christ”—not our faith “in Christ” (as the NASB incorrectly renders it). Faith comes by hearing (Romans 10:17), and Christ heard the word of His Father and responded to it perfectly by submitting to death on the cross. It is His faith that justifies us, not our own faith (“which is of the law”). The NASB translators thought Paul’s terminology was incorrect, so they thought it was necessary to correct his grammar.
If we say that we are justified by our own faith, then it is our own righteousness that saves us. Our faith, then, is really a response or an offshoot of Christ’s faith. Our faith is not the initiator of our justification or our righteousness. Our faith is secondary to Christ’s faith.
Christ’s faith is the source of our salvation and establishes the FACT; our faith is a response, a double witness, that determines the TIMING of our salvation. In other words, all will be saved, but not everyone will be raised in the same resurrection. It is “every man in his own order” (1 Corinthians 15:23).
So God is instructing us in prayer today to appeal to the faith of Christ. That ensures victory, total victory in this battle, because our victory depends fully on His righteousness alone.
Battle Prayer
We pray to you, Lord Jesus, you who are the Christ and our righteousness (through the Holy Spirit who utters our pleadings to the Christ in a manner that we cannot attain), that He (the Christ) would have faith for and on our behalf, in the Father to be constantly and always AMONG us.
We declare that victory in battle belongs to Jesus Christ alone, for it is based upon His righteous act in being willing to die on the cross. We declare further that “He was raised again for our justification” (Romans 4:25 KJV).
Father, we pray that you would demolish the plans and purposes of Beelzebub and the Prince of Revenge and establish your United Kingdom of America. Bring your Kingdom into visibility in the earth, so that heaven and earth may be one, even as we are one.
Strengthen us to do your will in all things, we pray in the name of Jesus.
Amen.
