I will be out of town this weekend at an important prayer summit, so it is not likely that I will post anything until Monday.
Please pray for John (in South Africa), as he suddenly became very ill yesteryday morning, March 18. It is hardly surprising to see that once the obstacles to the project are overcome, then the enemy attacks us personally so that we cannot utilize what we have won. I see it as the enemy's next line of defense in the overall war.
At the same time, this delay was also built into the pattern of 1983 in my reconciliation trip from March 10 to April 9, 1983. After a week of driving, I arrived at my main destination on March 18, only to find that the pastor refused to speak to me. I had to do some negotations for a few days, and finally spoke to him on March 22, completing that mission.
Just now (after writing the above paragraph), John called to tell me that he had slept well and is feeling much better. He also informed me that next Monday is a holiday in South Africa and so the completion of our project has been delayed to Tuesday, March 22. It is plain that my delay in 1983 set the pattern for the delay this weekend, as I had suspected.
We in America write March 22 as 3/22. Many of you are aware that 322 is the "Skull and Bones" number. Bonesmen, as they are called, are part of the special club at Yale University and include George Bush (Senior and Junior). It appears that the divine plan is to overcome the machinations of that political club.
So the news is all good, and God's plan is moving forward.
