I am currently writing the July FFI and am starting a new series. It is a commentary on the book of Habakkuk. I touched on Habakkuk briefly last week in a weblog but thought it would be helpful to do a full study on that “minor” prophet and his revelation. It will take some months to finish this series, since the FFI is just a monthly bulletin. Habakkuk is only three chapters long, but his revelation fits perfectly with the great themes of Scripture and certain men of faith such as Jacob, David, and Paul.
I have also been working steadily to edit My Journey, which gives my history from 1981 to 2024. As most of you recall, I wrote a series of weblogs a year ago giving this history. So far the series ended in 2017, and my intention is to finish the final segment in 2024 (when we get there). But the series is long, so I am trying to find time to edit the earlier sections.
My Journey will largely replace The Wars of the Lord, which traced this history up to 2008. An account like this always needs sequels to keep up with Father Time. Instead of just writing a sequel, I decided to start again from the beginning. As time passes, the meaning of past events become clearer in light of more recent events.
I may even give this a new title by the time it is published. My intent is to publish this in the form of a few large hardback volumes, each having multiple book sections in it.
As soon as we move and get a new mail address, I will be able to publish the updated version of Secrets of Time. I am down to a couple hundred copies of the previous edition (2007). There is a huge demand for the book in Africa, where a number of Bible schools want to add it to their curriculum. Two years ago I was prevented from sending anything to Africa because of the covid lockdowns. Many countries stopped all foreign mail. If I had been able to send books to Africa, there is no doubt that I would now be altogether out of Secrets of Time.
We do intend to move to a new location soon, but even that has been delayed. The property that we found was sold to others, so we will have to start again. It would be nice to know the appointed time from God’s perspective, but at the present time, we are learning more patience. Meanwhile, we continue to make progress from here in Minneapolis.
This year I have spent much time on the telephone and on zoom calls. I now average about 3 zoom calls each day, and when we add time spent on telephone calls, I wonder that I am able to get anything else done! The other day I actually had 5 zoom calls. When I go home from the office in the late afternoon, I then read and study news articles and listen to videos until 11 pm. So when I go home, my work day is only half done.
My study time in the evening is not much different from the daytime. I usually have at least one zoom call then as well. So my days and evenings are packed, and I find it difficult to find time to write the FFI or to edit books. Yet this is work that is important and needs to be done. The point is that the ministry work is steadily increasing, which reflects on how the word is going forth in an ever-increasing stream.
Then, of course, we are also called occasionally to spend a day or two in prayer, seeking to know His will and to make appropriate declarations in the Divine Court. Such times take top priority. Such sessions and summits usually are scheduled for a weekend, perhaps an average of once every two months. These are not held often, but to me they are of critical importance.
The biggest problem is trying to answer personal emails. As long as I am home, I can keep up with most of them, but when I am out of town, it becomes nearly impossible. I do what I can, but some emails fall by the wayside. I apologize for this, but that’s the reality of the situation. Pray that God gives me a few more hours in a day so I can keep up. Perhaps He could tweak my body into needing less sleep. Sleeping is such a waste of time!
We are entering a time of increased danger in the world, as Mystery Babylon continues its slow collapse. We are entering the transition from one age to another, and we are seeing prophecy being fulfilled. At some point the world will lurch forward, and the great shaking will commence in a serious way. We are now seeing a buildup of tension before events are unleashed. My hope is to be moved to a more secure location by the time that happens. Minneapolis is not the peaceful city that it was in 1996 when God moved us here.
We know that wherever we are, God’s hand of protection is upon us, so we are not worried in any way. But it would be nice to move to a place where the neighbors don’t sell drugs. The space next to my office is no longer rented to BLM, as they moved out some months ago after some of their leaders were arrested for misusing funds. BLM used to mean Black Lives Matter; now it means Buy Large Mansions.
Some months ago, we had planned to fly to South Africa on May 28, which was the day after I was to conduct a memorial service for my good friend, Bruce Miller. That trip had to be postponed for various reasons. Now it appears that Bradley and another team member from South Africa will be flying to America first, and then the North American team (about 14 people) will fly to South Africa.
Bradley himself will have some prayer work to do around the country, and no doubt I will accompany him. I do not know how long this will take. I’m thinking perhaps about 2-3 weeks. And who can tell where the Spirit will take us? It is impossible to plan ahead, as God seldom reveals much until the last minute. Being led by the Spirit often involves going by faith moment by moment. Many of you understand how that works.
God: “I want you to go there.”
Me: “What do you want us to see or do?”
God: “Just go, and I will show you when you get there.”
Me: “Ok, but how do I explain this to others?”
God: “You can’t, unless you want to look foolish and stupid.”
Me: “I see. So this is just a routine trip, huh?”
God: “I always have some surprises for you.”
