Darla and I spent the weekend up north in the Duluth area, meeting with about two dozen others. It was not a conference as such, nor was it really a time of teaching. There were conversations about the restoration of all things, as there were some in attendance that had only recently been introduced to the topic. However, our main purpose for the gathering was to hear what God Himself might reveal on a prophetic level.
For many people, it may seem strange to have no agenda in such meetings, but I am quite used to it, having done such things since 1985. In those days we were led to gather every Saturday evening to discern the mind and will of God and then to pray/declare it in the earth. The agenda was known only to God Himself, and we gathered to discern what that agenda was.
It was much the same over this past weekend. It was a time of sharing and discernment, followed by action and prophetic declarations.
July 9-15
Recall that the eighth miracle-sign of Elisha (2 Kings 4:38-41) was fulfilled twelve years ago from July 9-15, 2010. In order to deal with the Gulf oil spill, we were led to cast barley into the headwaters of the Mississippi River at 2:16 pm, July 9, 2010. We then saw results at 2:25 pm on July 15, 2010, which was 144 hours and 9 minutes later.
We have been watching for the 9th sign of Elisha (2 Kings 4:42-44) to emerge since that time. We have seen partial fulfillments, but the full sign has yet to come which would multiply the funds for the Open Door Ministry, bringing the gospel of the Kingdom beyond borders to all parts of the earth (the 10th sign).
The tenth sign, of course, is the healing of Naaman, the Syrian, who came to Elisha to be healed of his leprosy (2 Kings 5).
There is more than one way in which the ninth sign could manifest. I think in the end, all of these potential events will probably happen. In past years we have discerned that it would come with the revaluation of the Iraqi dinar. But there is also the source in South Africa, which seems to be more imminent. The final obstacle was finally removed on July 9, making me hopeful that we will see actual results on July 15 (as we saw in 2010).
July 10-22
Years ago, we took note that July was like September. July was our 7th month, while September was the original 7th month, not only on the Roman calendar, but also on the Hebrew calendar. We took note that July 1 was a prophetic type of the feast of Trumpets (7/1) and that July 10 was a was prophetic type of the Day of Atonement (7/10). By extension, July 15-22 was a type of the feast of Tabernacles.
We have now entered that time period in 2022. As it turned out, we were led to meet in Duluth at the start of this prophetic time, because Duluth represents the Open Door. (The Hebrew letter daleth means “an open door.”) We explained this more thoroughly in our conference in 2017, which was held in nearby Cloquet.
Our meetings this past weekend culminated Sunday, July 10. First we gathered for fellowship on the top of a mountain overlooking the Duluth harbor. This meeting culminated with the blowing of the shofar.
Then it began to rain. This suggested the outpouring of the Spirit that is soon to come.
We then drove to another high mountain a few miles away on which was built a monument overlooking Duluth called the “Gateway to the world.” There we opened the door to the Open Door Ministry.
From there we drove across the river to Superior, Wisconsin and gathered at a house for further fellowship and prayer. We prayed specifically for Rob and Susan Gale, and a great wind began to blow, as a storm system from the south moved into the area.
July 10—The Day of Atonement
If you have read chapter 4 of The Laws of the Second Coming, you will recall that Jacob’s journey to Haran and back established patterns for the feast days centuries before those feasts were named in the days of Moses. His journey to Haran set the pattern for the Spring feasts, and his return to Canaan set the pattern for the Autumn feasts.
When Jacob got to Mahanaim (“two camps”), he set the pattern for the feast of Trumpets and the resurrection, which also separated the overcomers from the rest of the believers (Genesis 32:2, 7). From there he went to a place where he wrestled with Peniel and later called the name of that place Peniel after the name of the angel he had wrestled (Genesis 32:30).
His wrestling set the pattern of the Day of Atonement and the Jubilee (7/10). When the angel gave him a new name, it reflected a change of nature/character and gave him a testimony of God’s sovereignty. Israel means “God rules.” No longer would he believe that God needed the help of the flesh to accomplish His promise.
From there, of course, he crossed the Jabbok River and went to Sukkoth (“Tabernacles”), setting the prophetic pattern for the feast of Tabernacles. This completed his wilderness journey.
Jacob’s Wrestling on July 10, 2022
Rob and Sue Gale were actually on their way to Hayward, Wisconsin, where they were to meet up with friends. On the afternoon of July 10, they received a phone call from those friends, asking for prayer for their son, Jacob. Jacob had been troubled recently with suicidal thoughts, and he had been missing for two days. On Sunday they found his car and believed that he had gone into the woods, perhaps contemplating suicide. Hence, they asked for prayer.
Being that this was July 10, we knew that it was a type of the Day of Atonement, which in itself is celebrated as a day of mourning and fasting in Scripture. But it is also the day of Jubilee. Jacob-Israel’s wilderness pattern further showed that it was a time of wrestling. So we discerned that Jacob had gone into the woods to wrestle with God. What are the odds that he would do this on 7/10? We prayed for him to be strengthened and for God to touch him, and we believe that he will come out of this a different man with a new name.
It is too soon yet for us to know the outcome of this situation, as I have not yet heard any news today. But I share this with you so that you too can be in prayer for Jacob.
We drove home last evening, arriving about 9 pm local time.
