We have taken the five ministry gifts (Evangelists, Pastors, Teachers, Prophets, and Apostles) as an outline for the courses of Bible study in this School.
Our purpose is to equip those who are ministering with a knowledge of the Word, so that each will be more effective in fulfilling his or her calling.
Learn MoreOn April 1, 2024 Israel attacked the Iranian consulate in Damascus, a major violation of international law. This constituted a direct attack on Iranian territory itself, and no doubt it was designed to spark a regional war that would force the US to come to Israel’s aid.
Iran vowed to respond in some way and at a time of its own choosing—after Ramadan, as it is now clear. Early morning today Iran sent about 185 drones and 30 missiles into Israeli territory, a few of which got through the air defenses and struck a military base. Alexander Mercouris tells us that the previous day The Financial Times published an account saying that Iran and US negotiators had feverishly drawn up a plan for Iran’s response that would be mild enough to prevent an escalation of the war.
Drones are effective, but they are slow. Israel had 3 hours’ warning as they watched on radar the drones approaching from Iran. It seems to me that Iran meant for most of these drones to be shot down, while at the same time giving the appearance of an aggressive response. Mercouris reports this in the link below. Listen to the first 5 minutes at least. His full comment on Iran ends after 48 minutes, after which time he addresses Ukraine.

In my view, the Israelis will find an excuse to “respond” to Iran’s attack, as if Iran started this conflict. The conservative news media will support them by ignoring the fact that Israel started it by bombing the Iranian consulate. The public is remarkable for its short memory and will think Iran was attacking Israel in an “unprovoked” attack.
In the big picture, I see this as an escalation that will lead ultimately to the destruction of Jerusalem, as prophesied in Scripture.
Dr. Stephen Jones has been writing blog posts since 2005 on a variety of topics from Bible Studies to World News, and he has been writing books since 1992. Dr. Jones' most important writings came after God brought him back into the full-time ministry in 1991. It is here that all his earlier years of searching the Scriptures began to come into clear focus. He combines a knowledge of the Old and New Testaments with a personal revelation of God that began and developed during the "wilderness" period of his life, which he often refers to as God's True Bible College...
