In 1986 we fought a prayer battle to overthrow the spirit behind communism in the Soviet Union, only to discover that this spirit came to America. I don’t know if we could have prevented this from happening. In those days we lacked experience and the revelation that comes with it.
In 1989-1991, during the Bush 1 era, the president began speaking about a New World Order. The term had originated with Chas Freeman, ambassador to Saudi Arabia, who had mentioned it in a note to him. He meant a new era of peace at the end of the Cold War and the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991. However, Bush took the term and redefined it to mean a unipolar world with the American Empire in control of the world.
This led to the Wolfowitz Doctrine, which laid out the plan to ensure that no rivals would ever rise to challenge US hegemony.

With the fall of the Soviet Union, there were no longer two superpowers in the world. The US empire emerged unchallenged, and it was determined to remain so. A new Russia was formed, bruised and weakened, and the Russian people looked to the West for help and partnership in this New World Order. Russia had become smaller than the Soviet Union, due to many breakaway republics becoming independent, but it still had a vast expanse of territory that was rich in natural resources. The US empire was determined to break it up into five smaller nations.
But first they focused on expanding NATO to the border of Russia, in spite of assurances that they would not move “one inch” east. This plan succeeded as long as Russia remained too weak to oppose that expansion. By 1995 China foresaw that it would take about 10 years for Russia to recover, and it decided that it needed to be Russia’s friend when it recovered. So Russia and China patched up their differences and moved toward economic cooperation that would rival the expanding US empire.
Vladimir Putin saw what was going on during those years, having been part of the Russian Intelligence (KGB) in the 1980’s. When he became president, he reined in the power of the oligarchs and put political power back in the hands of the government. Meanwhile, the West was making it clear that they wanted NATO to expand into Ukraine, so that they could put nuclear missiles very close to Moscow. Putin warned them against this, but to no avail.
The bottom line is that while Russia established itself as a democracy, the US empire became more and more authoritarian as a world empire. While claiming to espouse democratic principles, the US empire adopted communism as its model. It speeded up the process of eroding or eliminating the Bill of Rights. The government took upon itself the power to grant rights and to define them as it pleased. President George Bush spoke of the constitution, saying, “What, that old piece of paper?”
Whereas government was instituted to defend God-given rights, it usurped the rights of God Himself. This is at the heart of communism. Essentially, communism moved from the Soviet Union to America, as we had discerned decades ago.
Putin tried desperately to convince the West to make Ukraine neutral and to stop its plan to make it a part of NATO. When all else failed, he finally realized that he had no choice but to invade Ukraine. In spite of the propaganda, it is clear that this attack was NOT “unprovoked.” At first, the “military operation” was designed to bring Ukraine to the negotiating table, and this actually happened about a month into the war. The two sides drew up an agreement, but then the US sent Boris Johnson to Ukraine, telling him to tear up the agreement. “We will back you with all the armaments you need to defeat the Russians,” he promised.
Ukraine has now lost half of its population, which has fled to other countries. A half million men have died on the battlefield. They are now grabbing men off the streets, putting them in vans, and sending them to the front. Men no longer dare to go to work or walk the streets. The economy has almost completely shut down for lack of workers. Now there is talk of sending Ukrainians back to Ukraine from other European countries where they have fled for refuge.
Ukraine is a mess. The recent $61 billion package that congress passed hardly made a difference. Now they want another $800 billion. But money will not solve the manpower shortage. In spite of western propaganda telling us that this is a war between an authoritarian Russia and a democratic Ukraine, the fact is that Ukraine has suspended opposition parties, banned orthodox priests, and are implementing forced conscription (slavery). At the present time, Russia is far more democratic than Ukraine.
Meanwhile, Europe and America have stripped themselves of armaments to supply Ukraine. In a conventional war, they could not possibly win. This has frightened the empire to the point where they are spreading the propaganda that Russia wants to conquer Europe after taking Ukraine. But Russia has never indicated that they have such a goal. In fact, they know better, after having been bled dry when they dominated eastern Europe for 50 years. They know how many troops it would take to occupy even one country, and they do not want to repeat this mistake.
Russia’s goal is to prosper through peace and trade with Europe. It is very different from the policy of the old Soviet Union. Through the BRICS, they seek a “multipolar” world, where nations are independent. The US empire, with its authoritarian Wolfowitz Doctrine, sees this as a threat to its world hegemony.
As the West is weakening, the East is becoming stronger. The sanctions against Russia have made them independent and even wealthy. By sanctioning Russian oil and gas, the West has caused prices to rise, which have enriched Russia. Russian entrepreneurs now make most of the things that used to be imported. Business is booming. Meanwhile, the West buys Russian oil through middlemen and pay higher prices for the same oil.
At this rate, the US empire will soon collapse under its own weight. This is exacerbated by the West’s push to force nations to adopt its LGBTQIA+ agenda. The world may yet fear the US, but the US has lost all respect in most of the world.
One of the first countries to feel the negative effects of this loss of power will be Israel. Israel has hitched its wagon to a falling star. It appears to me that from a prophetic view, this Ukraine war has weakened the West in preparation for the destruction of Jerusalem. The madmen running the Zionist state are driven by their false ideology, abetted by Christian Zionists, in much the same way that they were in the first century. Blind ideology seduced them into thinking that God would save Jerusalem at the last minute. This did not happen then. It will not happen now.
How important is it to understand Scripture properly? We are about to see. A false understanding of prophecy can cost millions of lives at the appropriate moment. There is still some time to learn and unlearn. So far about a half million Israelis have left the country, most being dual citizens with another country in the West.
Of course, this is causing some economic hardship. More hardship is being caused by citizens being called up for service, leaving many jobs undone. Northern Israel has been largely evacuated, due to the conflict with Hezbollah in Lebanon. Yemen has shut down the Red Sea shipping, causing enormous economic damage.
We are reaching a climax in history, which will prove whose view of prophecy is right or wrong. I have presented my case for decades, having foreseen this conflict for a long time. See my 2002 book, The Struggle for the Birthright.
