I am continuing to recover strength and can notice positive changes every few days. Strength in my legs (quads) is the most noticeable, and I have now added a new exercise. I now do knee bends (bending about halfway down) twenty at a time without using my arms except for balance. At this rate, I should be near normal by the time of the Tabernacles conference in October, except that I will be much thinner than when you last saw me. I have lost 80 pounds since last September and will only regain weight as my muscle mass returns to normal.
I appreciate all your prayer support. I definitely turned the corner in early June.
Today we are waiting for our daughter, granddaughter, and 2 great granddaughters to arrive from Arkansas. They will be visiting us for a few days. Our daughter is Dr. Natasha Bailey, a physical therapist, who assisted us with a regimen of exercises toward the end of December last year. No doubt she will again have good advice for my present condition.
The added treat, of course, is that I will be seeing my youngest great granddaughter for the first time. Maggie was born last September and is now walking. We have not baby-proofed the house yet, but we won’t mind any chaos she may cause. The older great granddaughter, Emma, is now five years old. She seems to have a near photographic memory and tends to analyze everything, looking for solutions to every problem that she overhears adults talking about.
Their mother, our granddaughter, is Katelyn. She is an RN who is married to a peanut farmer. Between the two of them, they passed down some good genes to the next generation.
Meanwhile, the world continues to spiral downward, and analysts agree that the world is becoming more and more dangerous. They tell us that we are already in the beginning stages of World War 3. As I see it, the coming war will be limited to a regional war in the Mideast, caused by the conflict with the Zionist state.
Historically speaking, the Zionist state was the last vestige of western colonialism. Prophetically speaking, it was a combination of two things: (1) the “fig tree” of Judah bringing forth more leaves and coming back to life (Matthew 24:32-34) after Jesus cursed it and essentially killed it in Matthew 21:19, 20; (2) God’s promise to Esau being fulfilled on account of Jacob’s deception in Genesis 27:24.
The fig tree cannot ever bring forth fruit (Matthew 21:19), and Esau’s claim to the birthright is now nearing its end. The leadership in the Zionist state has lost all sense of decency in its work of murdering Palestinians. Obadiah 8 prophesies of our time, saying, “Will I not in that day… destroy wise men from Edom and understanding from the mountain of Esau?” And so the Zionist state of Edom seems to have no “wise men” who can prevent the catastrophe that is soon to come upon Jerusalem (Jeremiah 19:10, 11). Netanyahu and his cabinet are implementing a foolish policy.
OK, the family just arrived. I have to go.
