On November 26, 2024, US/Turkish-backed terrorist “rebels” began to attack Aleppo, in northern Syria with drone warfare taught to them by Ukrainian forces. Syrian troops were taken by surprise and had no experience with such drone warfare. They retreated immediately.
It only took two weeks for Syria to fall and for President Assad to evacuate Damascus. Damascus fell today. President Assad has fled the country, probably to Moscow, although no one knows for sure where he is. There were some unreliable sources that claimed his plane or helicopter had been shot down and that he was dead, but that seems unlikely.
The so-called “rebels” were recruited and trained by US/UK intelligence and military, starting over 20 years ago. The plan, according to General Wesley Clark in 2002, was to overthrow 7 countries in 5 years. Syria was one of those countries on the hit list. Obviously, the plan ran into a snag when Russia got involved in 2015, but even then it took much longer than anticipated.
So now Syria joins the list of overthrown countries that include Libya and Iraq.
It will be interesting to see if all of the various “rebel” groups are able to continue working together, now that they have succeeded in overthrowing Syria. Will the money paid to them by the West be strong enough to glue these radicals together? Will money trump religion? That remains to be seen, but I suspect that the new government in Syria will not be what the West intended, unless their intention was to reduce Syria to the state of permanent chaos for the benefit of the Israeli government.
