Last week Israeli hostages in Gaza were exchanged for Palestinian hostages in Israeli prisons. President Trump condemned Hamas for not feeding the Israeli hostages, saying that they looked like holocaust survivors from the end of World War 2. He said nothing about the Palestinian hostages, some of whom had to be taken out on stretchers.
The difference is that the Israelis have cut off virtually all supplies of food and water to Gaza, whereas the Israelis have plenty to eat and drink. The Palestinian hostages had been starved and tortured deliberately. It is plain that Trump’s information is being give to him by Zionists and that the information is one-sided and incomplete. Such is the nature of propaganda.
Recall that this prisoner exchange was arranged by Trump’s own peace deal. But now he says that if ALL of the Israeli prisoners are not released by noon on Saturday, he will break the deal and allow the genocide to continue. It is apparent that Trump’s word is meaningless. Why would the Palestinians give back the hostages without a reciprocal release of some of the thousands of Palestinians who are being held in Israeli prisons where torture is the normal policy?
It is not likely that Hamas will comply with Trump’s ultimatum. It is more than likely that the genocide will continue next week. Trump needs some better advisors.
