Old Covenant Christians have long been enthusiastic about finding a red heifer that the Israelis can sacrifice on the temple mount to purify the nation and signal the start of the “Great Tribulation” prior to the second coming of Christ.
To this end, five red heifers were sent to Israel from Texas by an enthusiastic Old Covenant Christian rancher. The plan was to sacrifice one of these at the time of Passover in 2025. However, the heifers have since developed a few white hairs in their fur, which probably disqualifies them according to Jewish tradition. (Does God really care if a red heifer has a few white hairs?) So the planned sacrifice is now in doubt.

It looks like the Antichrist will have to wait, and the planned destruction of the al-Aqsa mosque will have to be postponed. The third temple—where they say the Antichrist will live for a few years—will have to be postponed, disappointing all those Christians who have donated millions of dollars to build the Antichrist’s house and give it to him free of charge.
The Bible prophesies a peace agreement will be reached between the Israelis and Palestinians. Efforts to end this conflict dominate international headlines every day. When this agreement is concluded, it will trigger a seven-year period that will culminate at the Battle of Armageddon and the Second Coming of Jesus to the Earth.
Once the prophesied agreement is signed, the Temple Mount will be placed under a sharing arrangement between Jews and Muslims. Israel will be allowed to build its Third Temple, without disturbing the Dome of the Rock or the Al-Aqsa Mosque. It appears the International Community will supervise this sharing arrangement.
The Jewish temple will be completed during the first 3½ years of the seven-year agreement.
When the temple is completed, Jews will begin to offer animal sacrifices just as they did before the destruction of the Second Temple in 70 A.D.
Strangely, the author of this article thinks that the Antichrist will try to STOP the sacrifices, but that he will fail because (supposedly) the age to come will reestablish a Jewish Kingdom that reverts back to the Old Covenant system of sacrifice.
This world leader, who the Bible calls the Antichrist, will order the sacrifices stopped. (Daniel 11:31) He will explain they are not needed any more since he is, in fact, the Messiah. He will make this declaration from the Temple Mount. This event is called the Abomination of Desolation.
Scripture is clear Israel will reestablish sacrifices in the end time. The Antichrist cannot stop sacrifices that are not ongoing. However, something is needed first….
They have the land and the red heifers for the purification ceremony. The Temple Institute has the blueprints, along with the furniture and instruments to be used in the Third Temple. The temple priests are trained.
Obviously, these Old Covenant Christians claim to accept Jesus as the Messiah, but they repudiate Him by claiming that true worship will revert back to Old Covenant practice. I think they need to read the book of Hebrews, which has apparently been removed from their Bibles. They believe that the so-called Age of Grace is a temporary measure and that the Old Covenant will come back into force when the red heifer is sacrificed once again.
In my view, the moment a red heifer is sacrificed, those priests and their supporters will be guilty of blasphemy against Christ. Christians who support this view do not realize that they are repudiating Jesus Christ and are supporting another gospel. Are they also supporting another Christ? How does this affect their faith (from God’s perspective)? Is this perhaps why most of the church will be disqualified from receiving immortality at the first resurrection?
How important is it to believe that the Old Covenant is “obsolete” and is “ready to disappear” (Hebrews 8:13)? Is God pleased when Christians try to make it reappear? Jesus is the Mediator of a better covenant, but many Christians think the Old Covenant is better. Do they worship another Christ?
Just asking.
