We seem to be nearing the brink of war with Iran.
After Trump warned of unprecedented bombing if Iran rejects a new nuclear deal, Russia and China circle the wagons. Tehran eyes a preemptive strike on Diego Garcia. Israel locks down. Plasma weapons are revealed. The world holds its breath….
What began as diplomacy has morphed into pre-war mobilization. What was once strategic containment now threatens to ignite a multi-theater war, economic upheaval, and a reshaping of global alliances.
It appears that President Trump’s “deal” is actually an ultimatum of war to protect the Edomite state from destruction. In his blindness, Trump thinks that the US military is powerful enough to thwart the prophecies of Isaiah 29, Jeremiah 19, and Galatians 4. But God has been known to use blindness and hardness of hearts to secure unexpected outcomes. Trump seems oblivious to the fact that God used Iran/Persia to overthrow Babylon, and He is again using Iran/Persia to overthrow Mystery Babylon today.
He is unaware that he is preparing for war against the kings from the east whom God has raised up—even calling King Cyrus a messiah (Isaiah 45:1). To make war on Iran is to make war against Christ Himself. Ironically, Christian Zionists view Trump as another Cyrus, when in fact, his actions show that he is playing the role of Belshazzar, king of Babylon.
As we approach the Passover season, it makes me wonder if this war will be timed to mimic the final siege of Jerusalem in 70 A.D. Recall that the Roman army began the final siege of Jerusalem at Passover of 70, and the war finally concluded with the taking of Masada (the Edomite stronghold) on the morning of Passover in 73 A.D.
Those dates, in turn, were the endpoints of the 40-year grace period from the execution of John the Baptist (Passover of 30 A.D.) and the crucifixion of Jesus (Passover of 33 A.D.). That 40-year grace period was allotted to Judah through the intercession of the prophet Ezekiel, as we read in Ezekiel 4:2, 6, and 7.
US forces are being sent to Diego Garcia, the island in the Indian Ocean where there is a strategic military base. I have heard that right now about one-fourth of the US bomber fleet has already been sent there, to be used as a staging area against Iran.
This will not end well for America and the Babylonian West as a whole. Nonetheless, this seems to be necessary to see the rise of the Kingdom of God which will replace Mystery Babylon.
