Chapter 48: 2007: The Third Church

On November 28, 2007 I went to Little Rock, Arkansas to meet with Pastor Dick King and some of his congregation for a few days. The important revelation to come out of those meetings was that God was establishing the Third Church.

What does this mean? Acts 7:38 tells us about “the church in the wilderness” that was established under Moses. The word for “church” is ekklesia, which means “called out ones.” Israel (along with a large “mixed multitude,” Ex. 12:38) was called out of Egypt in the days of Moses. In other words, that first church was international, a fact that is often overlooked.

Because that first church left Egypt at Passover and then entered the Promised Land 40 years later at the time of Passover, I refer to it as the Passover Church. They all had faith in the blood of the (Passover) Lamb, but that was the limit of their faith as a whole. Under that Passover anointing, this church saw many wonderful things, but in the end that church failed to bring righteousness into the earth. Passover was insufficient to complete the divine mandate of blessing all families of the earth.

In the New Testament, we are given the story of the final end of that Passover church and how they rejected the Messiah. Yet those few who had faith in Jesus as the Messiah had the faith to fulfill Pentecost in the second chapter of Acts. Collectively, these became the second church—the Church of Pentecost. These were the ekklesia because they were called out of the first church.

Yet this second church also had its problems, failing to bring righteousness into the earth and failing also to bless all families of the earth. In fact, as I have shown in many writings, the church under Pentecost was typified by King Saul, who himself was crowned on the day of “wheat harvest” or Pentecost, according to 1 Sam. 12:17. Although King Saul was legitimately called to rule, he was eventually disqualified. This prophesied of the church under Pentecost as well.

King Saul reigned 40 years; the church under Pentecost “reigned” 40 Jubilees until May 30, 1993. The 7 1/2 year transition from “Saul” to “David” extended from May 30, 1993 to November 30, 2000, at which time the overcomers received the authority to rule the earth as “David.”

Seven years later I was led to make the trip to Little Rock and then declare and confirm the establishment of the Third Church on November 30, 2007. This is the Tabernacles Church. It correlates with “David,” rather than with “Saul,” and this declaration was based upon Peter's declaration in Matt. 16:16,

{Matthew 16:16} 16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

Peter's revelation was given to him at Caesarea Philippi (Matt. 16:13). This was the place of the Grotto of Pan, today called Bania. This grotto is a cave at the base of a huge rock. It was called “the gates of hades.” For this reason, Jesus responded to Peter's revelation by saying,

{Matthew 16:17} 17 Blessed are you, Simon Barjona, because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. {Matthew 16:18} 18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My Church; and the gates of Hades shall not overpower it.

In other words, Jesus used the location itself (and the common name attached to it) as a point of revelation. The revelation was about building His Church. Yet as I have already shown, there is not just a single church, but three churches that God has been building over the centuries—each one characterized by the anointing of a feast day. The first church (Israel) was overpowered and went into the Assyrian captivity. The second church (Pentecost) went into a Babylonian captivity. We are now seeing the establishment of the Third Church under the anointing of the feast of Tabernacles. This one will prove to be fully successful.

The Roman Catholic Church, of course, believes that Peter's confession applies specifically to them and that they will ultimately succeed in ruling the earth. They seem to be unaware that they are one of the primary manifestations of King Saul, not of David. So they do not believe that they could ever be replaced. But the story of King Saul's rejection is very clear in 1 Sam. 13:13 and 14,

{1 Samuel 13:13} 13 And Samuel said to Saul, You have acted foolishly; you have not kept the commandment of the Lord your God, for now the Lord WOULD HAVE ESTAB-LISHED your kingdom over Israel forever. {1 Samuel 13:14} 14 But now your kingdom shall not endure. The Lord has sought out for Himself a man after His own heart, and the Lord has appointed him as ruler over His people, because you have not kept what the Lord commanded you.

This prophesies of God rejecting the church under Pentecost. This does not mean that the people themselves are consigned to “hell.” It simply means that the institutional religion of “Saul” (Rome) and his sons (Protestant institutions) have been disqualified to rule the earth, because they usurped the authority of Christ and ruled as if the throne was their own. Further, they violated “the commandment of the Lord,” even as Saul did in his day. And so the Age to come will be ruled by the overcomers—the “David” company.

So I was led to go to Little Rock on Nov. 30, 2007 and there confirm that upon this “Little Rock” God was establishing His Third Church. This came on the seventh anniversary of the full transfer of spiritual authority that had taken place Nov. 30, 2000.

For many years we had wondered when Little Rock would surface. Ron had discerned years earlier that there was a connection between Peter and Little Rock. Peter's name means “a stone” or a little rock. But it was not until June of 2007 that I first met Pastor Dick King, who later invited me to do some teaching in his church in North Little Rock. It turned out that I went there precisely on the seventh anniversary of the full transfer of authority from Saul to David. God set this up at this location to confirm the Third Church.

I learned also that on May 30, 1993, the day that “Saul” died, God gave Pastor King a significant revelation to mark the event, even though he did not know the significance of its timing. Yet when we compared notes, we discovered that every time my life took a significant turn, so also with Pastor King and his church. Only God Himself could have engineered two sets of circumstances independently of each other and then merge them on November 30, 2007 at the right time and the right place.

So the Tabernacles Church has been established by the prophetic word. This Third Church will succeed where the first two churches have failed. It is being called out of the second church, because the overcomers are called to go beyond Pentecost into Tabernacles. I believe that this Third Church will have a thousand-year mandate to bring righteousness into the earth and to bless all the families of the earth.

And so, even as the Babylonian systems are being overthrown, God is building His Kingdom one step at a time. This is why we were led to pour out the wine and the water together from 2000-2006. The wine signified judgment upon Babylon; the water signified the outpouring of the Spirit, which would build the Kingdom of God in the earth.
