The Breach in the Tabernacle of David

Issue #266September 2010

The Breach in the Tabernacle of David

I flew to San Francisco on Saturday, August 7 to meet with a Spanish Church called the House of Prayer. The last time I had taught there was in July of 2000. I recorded the events of that trip in chapter 24 of The Wars of the Lord. The work at that time was about “Repairing the Wall” at the Sheep Gate, known to us as the Golden Gate Bridge. The breach in the prayer wall protecting America had occurred in 1981 and was the occasion of the first Net of Prayer warfare.

The Breach of 1948

The biblical number associated with the repair of the breach is 52, as seen in Nehemiah 6:15,

15 So the wall was completed on the twenty-fifth of the month Elul, in fifty-two days.

The year 2000 had been 52 years since 1948, so we understood that the work done in July 2000 was actually a work to repair the breach caused by the Church giving the Birthright away to the (non-Christian) Jewish State. The Church gave the Birthright to Hagar-Jerusalem and her son Ishmael, as Paul defines them in Galatians 4:22-31.

The Birthright is the right to give birth to the Sons of God, who are the inheritors of the Kingdom. Giving away this right of inheritance to non-Christians ensured that the Sons of God would NOT be brought forth by the Latter Rain Movement of 1948-1952, even though they received the revelation of Tabernacles and the manifestation of the Sons of God. This event would have to await another day after this breach had been repaired in the year 2000.

Meanwhile, the Net of Prayer discerned in 1981 that a demonic invasion of America had occurred, breaching the prayer wall at San Francisco. This was the point where the overcomers were instructed to engage in spiritual warfare and intercession on behalf of the nation, in order to lessen the effects of that spiritual invasion.

Since there are always consequences to everything, it is plain that America's recognition of the Israeli state as “Israel” in 1948 had brought about many consequences. It caused a huge breach in the Middle East that has now resulted in the radicalization of Islam and has ensured that war will continue until Hagar-Jerusalem is destroyed. With America backing Hagar-Jerusalem at the insistence of the Church, the nation’s spiritual defenses were breached.

The breach created in 1948 was essentially between prophetic “Isaac” and prophetic “Ishmael.” Even as these two sons were contenders for the Birthright inheritance in the book of Genesis, so also have they emerged again in a new form, each contending for the inheritance of Sonship in our time. The inheritance, then, was tied up in court until such time as the Judge would rule on the case.

As overcomers, it is part of our calling as a group to know our way around the Divine Court, so that we may hear and know His judgments and decrees as they occur. In fact, we are also called to give voice to those decrees as His double witness in the earth (as “amen” people), as though we were reading His decree publicly to inform the general populace.

The Jewish state’s Jubilee year (from May 14, 1948) was 1997-1998. Toward the end of that year (April 3, 1998), a group of us were led to travel to Spokane, WA for a meeting called “Symposium.” Sunny Day Roberts had organized this meeting, and the Word had come to her: “This is about the placing of My overcomers in lieu of the important events that are approaching.”

At the meeting we learned that God had finally ruled in the case of Isaac v. Ishmael. We were to speak His decree to “Cast out the bondwoman and her son.” The Isaac company was being “placed” as Sons, displacing Ishmael, the children of the Old Jerusalem. A fuller account of this is recorded in chapter 20 of The Wars of the Lord.

The Breach Repaired in the Year 2000

As for “the important events that are approaching,” it appears that the year 2000 was primarily what God had in mind. In July 2000 I was led to fly to San Francisco to teach in a Spanish church in nearby Redwood City. As the plane landed, I suddenly realized that God had brought me there to repair the breach that had occurred in 1948 but which was first discerned by the Net of Prayer in 1981.

So after a few days in Redwood City, three of us made a scouting trip into San Francisco on July 12, 2000 after receiving the revelation of Luke 3:16 and 17, “He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire.” We were led to go to Fifth Street, where the Father told us that we would see a sign. It turned out to be a very literal sign (banner) held by two young ladies, which read:

San Francisco on Fire

It was a sign of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, the “fire” of God. Later, at a house meeting with about a dozen of the men, we declared the breach repaired. The breach was located specifically at one of the twelve spiritual “gates” around the nation. The breached gate correlated with the Golden Gate Bridge.

Thus, on July 16 we walked across the Golden Gate Bridge to inspect the Gate. We found it to be repaired.

The Breach in the Tabernacle of David

Ten years later I made another trip to San Francisco after being invited again to teach in Redwood City. On August 14, 2010 three of us were again led to make another scouting trip to discern the signs relative to repairing the breach. We walked along the Fisherman's Wharf as far as a partially broken down pier. We could only walk on the right side of the pier, because the left side was blocked off, due to deterioration of the concrete. The Golden Gate Bridge could be seen clearly in the background.

Because this was ten years after our original trip to the Golden Gate Bridge, I thought our current work was to check on that previous work, but we were not led to go to the Golden Gate Bridge itself. Instead, we walked to a pier inside the harbor.

When I looked at the Golden Gate Bridge from the pier, I discerned that it was not in need of further repair. But when Rafael looked out, he saw a “mixed bag.” This told me that something else had to be done. But what was it?

We had stopped at a sign on the pier that read, “Closed,” notifying us that the left side of the pier was off limits to pedestrians, due to the deterioration of the concrete. At this point it still did not occur to me that we were dealing with a secondary breach within the Gate. But as we began to walk back, we passed another “Closed” sign that was identical to the other, except that someone had put their name tag on it, which read,

Hello: My Name is

AMOS

The name Amos was handwritten in large letters. We had walked past this sign about 20 feet before it occurred to me that this was about Amos 9:11. We walked back to the sign and took a picture of it. Amos 9:11, of course, was part of the revelation of 911 (i.e., Sept. 11, 2001), when God removed His hand of protection from America and released the second “bear” to bring about the second Gulf War.

11 In that day I will raise up the fallen booth [tabernacle] of David, and wall up its BREACHES; I will also raise up its ruins, and rebuild it as in the days of old.

We understood that the Twin Towers demolition represented a breach that would ultimately be repaired. But nearly nine years had gone by with no indication of any repairs on the breach other than New York's plan to rebuild the Twin Towers.

When we saw “Amos,” we understood that this was another very literal SIGN dealing with the breach of 911. But this time it was about repairing the Tabernacle of David that has fallen down.

The Tabernacle of David was an open tent that David built for the Ark of the Covenant prior to the construction of Solomon's Temple. We see this in 2 Sam. 6:17,

17 So they brought in the Ark of the Lord and set it in its place inside the tent which David had pitched for it; and David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the Lord.

David was a priest after the Order of Melchizedek (Psalm 110:4), as was Jesus (Heb. 7:17). Both were of the tribe of Judah, which meant they were not eligible to minister as priests under the Old Covenant. Only Levites of the family of Aaron could minister under that Covenant. But the Order of Melchizedek was not genealogy dependent. And hence we too are able to approach God as priests, though we are not Levites.

David's Tabernacle was a place where non-Levites could approach God if they were of the Melchizedek Order. This Order was reconstituted by Jesus Christ, for James tells us in Acts 15,

13 Brethren, listen to me. 14 Simeon has related how God first concerned Himself about taking from among the Gentiles a people for His name. 15 And with this the words of the Prophets agree, just as it is written, 16 “After these things I will return, and I will rebuild the tabernacle of David which has fallen, and I will rebuild its ruins [“repair its breaches”], and I will restore it, 17 in order that the rest of Mankind may seek the Lord, and all the Gentiles who are called by My name, 18 says the Lord, who makes these things known from of old.”

James was quoting Amos 9:11, 12 from the Septuagint (Greek translation of the Hebrew Scriptures). The issue of this first Jerusalem Church Council was to establish the relationship of God with non-Jews of other nations. The Tabernacle of David was known to be a place where there were no genealogical restrictions in approaching God, nor did any man have to be physically circumcised to meet with God.

However, since 1948 David’s Tabernacle, represented by the Latter Rain Movement (overcomers), has again fallen down, because the Church anointed Hagar and Ishmael as the inheritors of the Birthright. In doing this, they unwittingly started a power struggle between the Jewish “Ishmaelites” and the physical Ishmaelites (Arabs) and their religious allies (of Islam).

The Middle East has been embroiled in a life-and-death struggle to the present time. America’s backing of the Jewish-Ishmael claim has put the nation in danger of attack as well. And so on Sept. 11, 2001 the Twin Towers were demolished, not by Al Qaeda as supposed, but by elements within our own government who sought an excuse to enter the conflict militarily.

This breach was prophesied in Isaiah 30 and 31, where we also find divine instructions about how to avoid such a breach. The problem arises when we depend on military force rather than faith in God and His protection. When the nation forsakes God, there are consequences known as divine judgments.

America, by its own admission, has forsaken God to become a “secular” democracy. So God has raised up forces to judge us and correct us. But America does not want to turn from its wicked ways, so instead of repenting, the government turns to its military to protect itself from God. Isaiah prophesies this in terms of obtaining more “horses” from Egypt. Isaiah 31 says,

1 Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help, and rely on horses, and trust in chariots because they are many, and in horsemen because they are very strong, but they do not look to the Holy One of Israel, nor seek the Lord!

3 Now the Egyptians are men and not God, and their horses are flesh and not spirit; so the Lord will stretch out His hand [in judgment], and he who helps will stumble, and he who is helped will fall, and all of them will come to an end together.

Earlier (in Isaiah 30) the prophet speaks of Israel’s rejection of the Word as being a “breach.”

13 Therefore this iniquity will be to you like a breach about to fall, a bulge in a high wall, whose collapse comes suddenly in an instant, 14 and whose collapse is like the smashing of a potter’s jar; so ruthlessly shattered that a sherd will not be found among its pieces to take fire from a hearth, or to scoop water from a cistern.

God then promises to pour out His Spirit like the rain in order to correct this breach. Isaiah 32:15 says, “until the Spirit is poured out upon us from on high, and the wilderness becomes a fertile field.” Isaiah 30:25, 26,

25 And on every lofty mountain and on every high hill there will be streams running with water on the day of the great slaughter, when the [Twin] Towers fall. 26 and the light of the moon will be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun will will be seven times brighter, like the light of seven days, on the day the Lord binds up the fracture [“breach”] of His people and heals the bruise He has inflicted.

The Hebrew language has two types of plural. One is a plural, and the other is “dual” (two objects). In this case, the Hebrew word for “towers” is migdalim, and the ending means TWO towers. (It is the same for Ierushalaim, the name for Jerusalem, because there are two cities by that name, the old and the new Jerusalem.)

So Isaiah prophesies that the “day of great slaughter when the Twin Towers fall” will be a sign of a greater event known as the outpouring of the Spirit. The physical location of the Twin Towers breach is in New York, but the spiritual location for the repair of the breach has focused upon San Francisco.

It is hardly a coincidence that the repair of the Amos breach occurred on August 14, less than a week before the official end of “Operation Iraqi Freedom.” The last of the American combat troops officially left Iraq on August 19.

In combining the two signs seen in 2000 and in 2010, the message is quite plain. “San Francisco on Fire” was the first sign, shortly after the Father gave us Luke 3:16, 17, “He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire.” The second sign (2010) was “Hello: My Name is Amos,” linking the repair of this breach to Amos 9:11 and the breach created when the Tabernacle of David had fallen in 1948.

We Are the Tabernacle of David

Paul tells us that we are the temple of God (1 Cor. 3:16). We are also the Tabernacle of David, when we approach this teaching from the perspective of the overcomers as sons of Melchizedek (as opposed to Levi that was set up in 1948 at the expense of Melchizedek).

My trip to San Francisco was the occasion of much revelation about our being the Tabernacle of David.

On Friday the 13th (evening) as I was teaching, I “accidentally” stepped off the platform backward and fell to the floor. I was not hurt and stood to my feet immediately, but it gave the people quite a scare. I brushed it off and continued teaching as if nothing had happened. Even so, I knew immediately that this had been the work of a “possessed” woman attending the meeting who was very much into Santeria, an old religion from Africa similar to Voodoo.

It was surprising to me that she was able to do this, since I am always well aware of divine protection around me. But for the moment I put it out of my mind in order to focus upon teaching.

The next day the three of us went into San Francisco, where we saw the sign: Hello, My Name is AMOS. This told us what particular “breach” was being repaired. About two hours later, as we turned into the parking lot of a coffee shop, it finally all came together in my mind. “I got it,” I told them. Amos 9:11 speaks of the repair of the breach of the Tabernacle of David which had FALLEN DOWN. That Tabernacle had fallen down, and I had represented this Tabernacle the previous evening. For this reason, God had allowed me to fall down.

So God allowed me to fall down in order to provide a type of the Tabernacle of David, knowing that the next day we would say “hello” to Amos.

It reminded me a lot of Balaam, who wanted to curse Israel but all he could do was bless them. So it is with us. When the enemy tries to curse us, all they can really do is bless us. Even if they appear to “win” in the short-term, we always win in the long term.

The difference between the Tabernacle of David and the Temple in Jesus’ day is that the Tabernacle was not for the Levitical priesthood, but for the Melchizedek priests such as David himself and by extension, anyone who was not of Aaronic genealogy. The temple in Jesus’ day had unlawfully erected a barrier, a “dividing wall” in the outer court (Eph. 2:14) which kept all but Jewish men at a distance from God.

In 1948 the Dispensationalist ideas became mainstream in Christianity when it appeared that the Jews were fulfilling the prophecies of Israel being regathered. The Dispensationalist teachers then claimed that the Jews would build a third temple in Jerusalem on the original site, and that Jesus would live there during the Millennium while enjoying animal sacrifices made to him by Jewish Levite priests (cohen).

The idea that the Jews are chosen as inheritors, though they are “Ishmaelites,” and its twin heresy that Levi will soon replace the Melchizedek Order, re-establishes the exclusive advantage of a privileged few. It re-establishes the same problem that Paul sought to eradicate in the book of Galatians and other letters written against the Judaizers.

In effect, the Church has created a breach in David’s Tabernacle. Worse yet, they have not replaced it with the Temple of Solomon, which was to be “a house of prayer for all people” (Isaiah 56:7; 1 Kings 8:41-43) but with Herod’s Temple, which had a dividing wall with a “Keep Out” sign directed against all woman and all “gentiles.”

Amos 9:11 speaks of repairing the breach in the Tabernacle of David, and the next verse gives us the reason for repairing it:

12 That they may possess the remnant of Edom [or “men” in the Septuagint] and all the nations who are called by My name, declares the Lord who does this.

Acts 15:17 and 18 quotes this verse from the Septuagint, where “Edom” is rendered anthropos, or “Adam.”

17 In order that the rest of mankind may seek the Lord, and all the Gentiles who are called by My name, 18 says the Lord, who makes these things known from of old.

The names Edom and Adam are nearly the same in the Hebrew. Adam, when used without the definite article, simply means man or mankind. This is the passage specifically mentioned in the first Jerusalem Council in Acts 15 to show that the other nations were also “called by My name.” This was the decision of the Church that discarded the dividing wall, and this is the decision that was overruled by the Church in 1948.
