The Spirit of Amalek

Issue #285April 2012

The Spirit of Amalek

On March 8 and 9 of 2012 we held a prayer campaign called Divine Deliverance Prayer Campaign. It coincided with the feast of Purim and was therefore directed against the spirit of Amalek.

Purim is a festival that began in the book of Esther during the time that the Persians ruled Judah. It speaks of an Amalekite official in the government of Persia, whose name was Haman. In Esther 3:1 he is called “Haman, the son of Hammedatha the Agagite.”

In other words, he was a direct descendant of King Agag, the Amalekite king who fought King Saul of Israel (1 Sam. 15:8). As an Amalekite, Haman bore a long-standing grudge against Israel and Judah, and so this conflict played out in the time of the Persians between Haman and Mordecai (along with his relative, Esther).

The culmination of this story arrived on the 13th and 14th day of Adar (the 12th month on their calendar), when Haman was hanged on the gallows that he had prepared to hang Mordecai. These days, then, came to be celebrated as the feast of Purim (Esther 9:27, 28). Unfortunately, it has been celebrated more as a feast of revenge than as a feast of divine deliverance. This is due to the carnal mind, which misinterprets Scripture to justify sin and to gratify fleshly motives.

In the past 21 years, beginning with the Gulf War in 1991, we have watched this conflict surface once again. It was clear to see the Jewish influence in that war and even afterward, as the main events occurred on Purim. They have embarked on a plan to take revenge upon Babylon, Persia, Greece, and Rome—all the empires that God set up to judge Judah for their sins.

Babylon is now known as Iraq, so they were the first to experience the Jewish revenge. And because Iran is ancient Persia, they are next in line, and so Iran is being vilified daily in the media to prepare us for the next war. Third in line is Greece, which is near bankruptcy and is being threatened with foreclosure and slavery to the Rothschild banking system. Italy (or Rome) is not far behind, for they too are following the example of Greece and are in danger of being enslaved to the banks.

Esau, Eliphaz, and Amalek

Esau begat Eliphaz. Eliphaz begat Amalek. We see this in the official records of Gen. 36:15 and 16. Esau was also known by the nickname, “Edom,” which means RED (Gen. 36:8). Wherever you find Edom, you also find the color red.

Eliphaz means “my god is fine gold.” He had a problem with the love (worship) of money, or gold. The book of Jasher tells us that Eliphaz was the one who stole all of Jacob’s money when he was on his way to Laban’s house in Genesis 28. Scripture does not record the incident, but there is little doubt that this theft occurred. After all, Isaac would never have sent Jacob to Haran penniless to obtain a wife. In Gen. 28:2, Isaac instructed Jacob,

2 Arise, go to Paddan-aram, to the house of Bethuel your mother’s father; and from there take to yourself a wife from the daughters of Laban your mother’s brother.

With those instructions surely went sufficient funds to pay the customary dowry. Yet when Jacob arrived, he was penniless and had to work seven years as a substitute dowry to obtain Rachel. He ended up working fourteen years to marry both Rachel and Leah.

Why? Because someone stole the dowry funds that were to be used when he found a wife at Laban’s house. Jasher 29:38 says it was Eliphaz:

38… Eliphaz and his men took all belonging to Jacob together with the silver and gold that he had brought with him from Beersheba; they left him nothing.

Eliphaz passed down his love of money to his oldest son, Amalek. Many years later, after Israel had spent centuries in Egypt, they left Egypt with great wealth. Within a few weeks, the Amalekites attacked the Israelites in order to steal that wealth once again. Exodus 17:8 says,

8 Then Amalek came and fought against Israel at Rephidim.

Amalek was defeated by Joshua, but God then put a curse upon Amalek, which prophesied of a long conflict yet to come. Verses 14-16 say,

14 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Write this in a book as a memorial, and recite it to Joshua, that I will utterly blot out the memory of Amalek from under heaven.” 15 And Moses built an altar, and named it Yahweh-nissi [The Lord My Banner].16 and he said, “The Lord has sworn, the Lord will have war against Amalek from generation to generation.”

After this, God seems to have forgotten Amalek until the time of King Saul. When we study the chronology, we find that God had put Amalek on Cursed Time, which is a grace period of 414 years, to give Amalek opportunity to repent. During that time, they did not repent, and so the sentence was carried out on schedule in the 18th year of Saul, 414 years after Amalek’s battle with Israel.

Saul’s Failure

In 1 Samuel 15:2, 3, God spoke to Saul through the prophet, saying,

2 Thus says the Lord of hosts: “I will punish Amalek for what he did to Israel, how he set himself against him on the way while he was coming up from Egypt. 3 Now go and strike Amalek and utterly destroy all that he has, and do not spare him….

Saul was the anointed one in his day, called to rule and judge the people of Israel and to be God’s law enforcer when so instructed.

7 So Saul defeated the Amalekites from Havilah as you go to Shur, which is east of Egypt. 8 And he captured Agag the king of the Amalekites alive, and utterly destroyed all the people with the edge of the sword. 9 But Saul and the people spared Agag and the best of the sheep, the oxen, the fatlings, the lambs, and all that was good…

It is a principle of biblical law that a judge has no power to forgive sin or to increase or reduce a sentence that the law prescribes. The only way a judge can forgive a sin is if he is willing to pay its penalty himself. When Saul spared Agag from the death penalty, he took upon himself the curse that God had placed upon Amalek in Exodus 17.

Saul, then, would have had to die in place of Agag, except that Samuel himself executed Agag (1 Sam. 15:33). However, it is apparent from the book of Esther that some of Agag’s family had escaped the divine judgment, for Haman was an Agagite.

Who is Amalek today?

Amalek was the grandson of Esau-Edom. Hence, Amalek was essentially a branch of Edom, which lived south of Israel and east of Egypt in the Negev. After the Amalekites raided Ziklag and took David’s wives captive (1 Sam. 30:3), David all but destroyed Amalek as a nation. The remnants of Amalek were absorbed into Edom. The Wikipedia says under “Amalek”:

After this defeat [by David] Amalek disappears, so that it seems as though the nation had actually been exterminated by the wars with Saul and David. 1 Chron. iv. 42-43 states that in the time of Hezekiah five hundred Simeonites annihilated the last remnant “of the Amalekites that had escaped” on Mount Seir and settled there in the place of Amalek. Thus the related tribes Amalek and Edom were united again at the end.

Centuries passed. In 125 B.C. John Hyrcanus, the Judean general, conquered Edom (Greek: Idumea). The Idumeans were then forced to convert to Judaism. Josephus records this a century later in Antiquities of the Jews, XIII, ix, 1,

“Hyrcanus took also Dora and Marissa, cities of Idumea, and subdued all the Idumeans; and permitted them to stay in that country, if they would be circumcised, and make use of the laws of the Jews; and they were so desirous of living in the country of their forefathers, that they submitted to the use of circumcision and the rest of the Jews’ ways of living; at which time therefore, this befell them, that they were hereafter no other than Jews.”

This is confirmed by virtually all historians. The Jewish Encyclopedia says in its article, Edom, “… they were then incorporated with the Jewish nation,” and again it says, “From this time the Idumeans ceased to be a separate people…”

It is a matter of well-known history, then, that Edom and Jewry merged into a single people. If the Edomites had truly repented before God, rather than simply being forced to join a religion called Judaism, they could have shed all of the liability for past sins and generational curses. But they continued to be a bloodthirsty people and were among the most radical and violent soldiers in the Roman War that brought about the destruction of Jerusalem from 70-73 A.D.

In other words, they became part of the “evil fig” company (Jer. 24) that refused to submit to the beast nations to whom God had given the Mandate of Heaven.

Hence, all the prophecies in Scripture regarding Edom are being fulfilled in the Jewish nation. The incorporation of Edom into Jewry simply brought all their baggage into Judaism and the nation of Judea. Only the Christian believers in Christ could escape the curse on Amalek by the blood of Christ. These were the “good figs.”

Yet even the Church itself, under its Pentecostal anointing, was prefigured by Saul, the king who was crowned on the day of wheat harvest (i.e., Pentecost) in 1 Sam. 12:17. Like Saul, the Church too was overcome by the love of money found in Amalek. It would take the overcomers to fully overcome where even the Church has failed.

The House of Rothschild is Modern Agag

The banking beast of Revelation 13 rose to prominence after 1,260 days (years) of the previous beast from the sea, that is, Religious Rome.

When the Iron Kingdom of Rome fell in 476 A.D., the power vacuum made the Roman Church the natural inheritor of power. By 529 the entire Roman legal system was replaced by Church law, known as Canon Law. This was revised in 534, and between those two dates, the Church was given the starting points of their 1,260-year period of dominion as successors of the Roman Empire.

This ended from 1789-1794 A.D., during which time the French Revolution occurred, empowered by the rising beast from the earth and its money power. The House of Rothschild took the lead in this, led by Mayer Amschel Bauer of the Red Shield (“Rothschild”).

They adopted Edom’s color. They adopted gold as their god by the spirit of Eliphaz. Niall Ferguson, says on page 17 of The House of Rothschild, volume 1,

“Not only had the Rothschilds replaced the old aristocracy, they also represented a new materialist religion. ‘[M]oney is the god of our time,’ declared Heine in March 1841, ‘and Rothschild is his prophet’.”

Thirdly, they adopted the spirit of Amalek, by which they were willing to go to war to obtain the wealth given to the true Israelites. The Rothschild family since then has fancied itself as Jewish royalty. Ferguson writes of them:

In this sense, phrases like ‘Kings of the Jews’ which contemporaries applied to them contained an important element of truth. That was exactly the way the Rothschilds saw and conducted themselves—as phrases like ‘our royal family’ in their letters show—and the way they were treated by many other less wealthy Jews.” [Vol. 1, p. 8]

Although the Rothschild family is not the only wealthy banking family that rules the modern Babylonian system, they are perhaps the most visible. Revelation 13 makes it clear that they and their system are the beast from the earth. They have two horns like a lamb pretending to be Israelites, when in fact their true identity is manifested when they open their mouths, for they speak like a dragon (Rev. 13:11). It is, in fact, the Red Dragon of Edom.

In that sense, they did indeed receive the divine mandate from the earlier beast of Religious Rome, also known prophetically as King Saul.

Saul Overcome by the Spirit of Amalek

Saul had already established the pattern of being overcome by Amalek, mostly because of his problem with the love of money. Because Saul’s heart was impure, he was unable to eradicate fully the spirit of Amalek. In the end, an Amalekite claimed responsibility for Saul’s death, and David executed him according to his own testimony (2 Sam. 1:9-16).

That was the prophetic pattern that shows why the beast from the earth subdued the beast from the sea in Revelation 13. The Church beast was overcome by the spirit of Amalek. God raised up the Amalekite Rothschild beast to afflict and eclipse the power of Rome.

The Rothschilds are the heirs of Amalek, and the head of the Rothschild Trust represents King Agag. But now their time is nearing the end, and God is raising up the overcomers, the House of David. The Mandate of Heaven is being given to them for The Age to come.

Agag’s time cannot exceed Saul’s reign, for in a sense, Agag’s dominion was meant to afflict Saul in the latter part of his 40-Jubilee reign. Saul “died” in 1993, and at the same time the overcomers were called into spiritual warfare to overcome this last beast of the long succession of empires. The House of David is called to complete what Saul failed to do in regard to Amalek.

For this reason, we were called into spiritual warfare in November of 1993. The prayer campaign lasted a full 13 years, one year for every pass that Joshua made around Jericho—the type of Babylon. Then the foundations of the banking system began to crack and fall.

The Wars with Iraq:1991-2003

This prayer campaign was held March 8-9, 2012 during the two days of Purim. While Jews celebrated it as a feast of vengeance, the beast powers of Mystery Babylon prepared to make war against modern Persia (Iran).

We, however, understand that Haman was not a Persian, nor were the Persians themselves enemies of the people of Judah. Their adversary was an Amalekite living in Persia, who hired mercenaries to carry out his vendetta.

Neither Jews nor Christians appear to understand this, however, nor do they understand who plays the role of Haman today. In the fight against Iran, they identify the Iranian president as Haman, when, in fact, Haman the Agagite is Mr. Rothschild who has hired his mercenaries from the West to carry out his vendetta against true Judah.

In 1990 the American ambassador tricked Iraq into attacking Kuwait by implying that America would not object or try to stop such an invasion. Once Iraq invaded, however, then President Bush, Sr. put on the cloak of righteous indignation and pushed for a war with Iraq.

The war began Jan. 17, 1991 and ended 42 days later on Feb. 28. It was the first day of Purim in 1991.

After a 12-year cold war from 1991-2003, the war resumed on the night of March 18-19, 2003 with an airstrike on the Presidential Palace in Baghdad. Those were the two days of Purim in 2003.

So in both wars with Iraq, Purim was a major timing factor. Iraq is old Babylon. It was the start of a vengeance cycle against the four beast empires that God had raised up in the past to bring divine judgment upon Judah and Jerusalem.

The “evil figs” of Judah, however, never really accepted this as divine judgment, but continually blamed those empires for their troubles, rather than repenting of their own sins that had brought about their captivity.

The next act of vengeance would be taken against Persia, now known as Iran. First, Iraq’s Saddam Hussein was likened to Haman, and now Iran’s Achmedinejad is being labeled the next Haman.

But the fact is, Persia was not the problem. Judah was not in captivity on account of Persia’s oppressive policies, but for the sins of Judah itself. This is the main theme of the book of Jeremiah. In fact, Persia gave Judah relative freedom by allowing them to return to the old land. The Persian government even financed the rebuilding of the temple. King Darius’ decree, recorded in Ezra 6:8, says,

8 Moreover, I issue a decree concerning what you are to do for these elders of Judah in the rebuilding of the house of God; the full cost is to be paid to these people from the royal treasury out of the taxes of the province beyond the River [Euphrates], and that without delay.

The Persian King Cyrus was a “messiah” (Is. 45:1) and God’s shepherd (44:28). Persia was a type of the Kingdom of God that was to overthrow Babylon and put Daniel (the overcomer) in authority over it. When Jews today take vengeance on Iran, they do so unjustly by the spirit of vengeance.

Amalek is the real problem. He is the real enemy of the Jews, for he is the one who has worked to establish the Zionist state in order to destroy them in the end, as Albert Pike’s proposal showed.

The Divine Deliverance Prayer Campaign

We held this prayer campaign on the two days of Purim, March 8-9, 2012. We celebrated it as a time of divine deliverance, not as an excuse for vengeance. It was designed also to come against the spirit of Amalek, which is not only operating in the debt-money system today, but it gains its power through “the root of all evil” that seems to come natural in every heart.

For this reason, part of the prayer was to overthrow the spirit of Amalek and cast it out of our own hearts. This is ultimately the only way that we can win the war against Amalek. We cannot fully overcome the love of money in the world when it resides within our own hearts. Saul tried to do that, and failed. Later, the Saul-Church tried again to do this, and failed again. Now the Overcomers have fought the spirit of Amalek and have succeeded.

David’s battle against the Amalekites in 1 Sam. 30 appears to have fully overcome Amalek, succeeding where Saul had failed previously. I believe that this battle was a prophetic type of the battle that we fought on March 8-9. In that battle, David’s two wives were taken captive: Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail widow of Nabal the Carmelite (1 Sam. 30:5).

These women prophesy of true Israel. Ahinoam was from Jezreel, a name that prophesies of Israel’s scattering in Hosea 1:4 and 2:21-23. Likewise, Abigail was a widow, as was Israel when her Husband (Jesus Christ) died on the cross. Hence, Isaiah 53 prophesies of Christ’s death, and Isaiah 54:4 then refers to Israel as a widow.

Hence, Israel’s captivity ends with David’s war against Amalek. It appears that our long captivity to Amalek and Mystery Babylon is coming to an end.
