Last November I was led to do an eight-day fast (with green juice) from November 6-13. Its purpose was to petition the Divine Court to fulfill the ninth sign of Elisha that is found in 2 Kings 4:42-44.
These signs began shortly after we issued the Elijah-Elisha revelation on April 12, 2009, the last day of the Passover conference that year. We had seen the first eight signs fulfilled every couple of months quite regularly, climaxing in July 2010 with the eighth sign. However, then the bottom seemed to drop out, and we experienced a long delay to the ninth sign.
So after 3½ years had passed, I was led to go on this eight-day green juice fast to bring the ninth sign to life. The sign itself occurred in 2 Kings 2:42-44 when a man brought 20 unleavened (flat) loaves of barley bread to the prophet, which was multiplied to feed 100 men. The sign occurred at the time of barley harvest, obviously, which is associated with the wave-sheaf offering on the first Sunday after Passover.
Even so, I was led to go on this fast in November, which was actually the time when barley was planted. The fast ended on November 13, which was the 318th day of the year. In Scripture, this number 318 is associated with the remnant. It surfaces in Genesis 14:14, when Abram sent 318 warriors to defeat the coalition of kings that had taken his nephew Lot captive.
On November 9, 2012, I gave my first report of this fast to those who follow my weblogs online. First I gave a brief history of each of the eight signs of Elisha that had been seen up to that point. Then I commented on the fast itself, saying,
“I was not expecting to go on this fast prior to the ninth sign actually becoming visible, but now I see that I am to reckon it accomplished. In the long term, I must now begin to prepare as if the funding for the Open Door ministry has arrived.”
I had had revelation more than a year earlier that I was to go on a fast after the ninth sign of Elisha had taken place. But sometimes revelation is hard to understand, because God fulfills His word in ways that we could not possibly know ahead of time. In this case, He instructed me to go on this fast on the grounds that the ninth sign has already taken place in the spirit. In other words, I was to reckon it accomplished, according to the spiritual principle set forth in Romans 4:17, where God “calls what is not as though it were.”
Two weeks after the fast, we drove to Irving, Texas to speak at the winter conference at First Covenant Church. On November 29, seven of us gathered at a nearby hotel to pray, discern, and decree the will of the Lord in the Divine Court. This turned out to be the start of a lengthy time of spiritual warfare as well.
Within a week we discovered that this warfare was patterned after Revelation 12, the battle to prevent the red dragon from devouring the Manchild (Christ) and to protect the “woman clothed with the sun.” On December 1, a woman from Australia who was (and is) crucial to this prayer campaign disappeared, having fled from some danger that threatened her. Her associate—another very important friend who is on the front line of this battle—contacted me to tell me that he was quite worried about her, as he could not contact her.
Through this, it was revealed that we had tapped into Revelation 12 and its cosmic warfare that has been playing out for thousands of years. In that the spiritual realm is timeless, our spirits had been called to engage in spiritual warfare alongside of Daniel, John, and all others from past generations who have fought in this battle.
And so we were seeing events on earth that reflected the nature of this ongoing warfare in the heavens. I also had the insight that the missing woman would reappear on 12/11 (or Dec. 11), because the date showed the same numbers as Revelation 12:11,
11 And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even to death.
In other words, we would overcome this problem on 12-11, because of the clue given in Revelation 12:11. That did indeed happen, as the missing woman reappeared on that expected date. That phase of the war then ended a week later on December 19.
On December 14 we saw another sign of the red dragon. Rev. 12:4 shows that the red dragon’s desire is to devour the woman’s child as soon as he is born. This was seen in Exodus 1:16, when Pharaoh tried to kill the male children born to the Israelites. The red dragon was behind this, attempting to kill the deliverer who was to come.
Likewise, when Israel was delivered out of Egypt, God called Israel His first-born son (Exodus 4:22). Their departure from Egypt was the “birth” of God’s firstborn. And so again we see Amalek attacking Israel shortly after their departure (Ex. 17:8-16). Amalek was the grandson of Esau, who was nicknamed “Edom” (Gen. 36:1). Edom means “red,” and this connects Amalek to the red dragon in that attempt to kill God’s firstborn.
This occurred again shortly after Jesus was born, when King Herod killed the children in Bethlehem (Matt. 2:16). Herod was half Edomite. Thus, he was manifesting the spirit of the red dragon in his day.
In our own warfare, we saw the massacre of children at Newtown, CT on December 14, 2012. Although there seems to be some indications that this event was far more than what appeared on the surface, it provided us with another major sign of the red dragon’s activity. At that point we had more than enough confirmation to know which spirit we were fighting.
The first phase of warfare ended Dec. 19. On that day it was reported that the Union Bank of Switzerland (UBS) agreed to pay a fine of $1.53 billion for their role in the Libor scandal. UBS had manipulated the benchmark interest rates that are used to price financial contracts around the world. In doing this, they undermined the integrity of the whole system (if they had any integrity to begin with).
It was of interest to us to see that the fine was $1.53 billion, since the biblical number 153 refers to the “sons of God.” We took this as an indication of victory, but the news also served to tell us that UBS was one of the main enemies carrying out the plan of the red dragon.
Of course, I had already learned this some years ago, but that is a story that is too long for this short FFI. I should say also that we have some prayer warriors who work for UBS. Like Jonah, they are in the belly of the whale (Heb. tanniyn, “whale, dragon”), waiting for their release.
At the same time, a powerful winter storm hit the midsection of America, which the Weather Channel called “Winter Storm Draco.” Draco, of course, means dragon. These are just earthly signs of spiritual warfare.
As I said earlier, the first phase of warfare ended Dec. 19. But we knew from Rev. 12 that when the red dragon’s first plan was thwarted, he then embarked upon a secondary plan in verse 15,
15 And the serpent poured water like a river out of his mouth after the woman, so that he might cause her to be swept away with the flood.
So after December 19 we began to watch for a sign of a flood of water, though we also discerned that fire was a possibility. After all, dragons normally breathe fire, not water. We did not know exactly what to expect.
Then on January 3, 2013 a three-foot water pipe broke in downtown Minneapolis, sending a 14-million gallon flood of water down the streets of the city. At the same time, wildfires began in Australia. This told us that the war had resumed, and we knew that it would end on Jan. 27.
Once again Australia became a focal point for this warfare, along with Minneapolis, where I live. This attack by the red dragon succeeded in delaying the Open Door ministry by hindering key people called to open the door—including the woman who had “fled into the wilderness” from December 1-11.
When we came to January 27, the battle ended in a cease fire, rather than in a full victory. And so it was revealed that we would have to fight again shortly.
On February 8 the Lord gave instructions to prepare for the third phase of this warfare. It was to begin on February 17 and end on March 18 at 3:00 p.m. Later that night (Feb. 8), toward midnight, a 20-inch water pipe broke in downtown St. Paul, MN, sending nearly 2 million gallons of water down Wall Street. Yes, St. Paul has its own Wall Street.
It was obvious that we were in a financial battle, as this was the second major financial sign. It was clear that this battle would affect the economies of the world and the Western banking system that is run by the red dragon. But there is also a religious side to this battle.
On February 11, Pope Benedict XVI announced that he would retire on the 28th. He said he did not have the energy required to reform the church or to clean up the Vatican Bank of its corruption.
This immediately caused a flurry of excitement and prophecies of doom. After all, Benedict was the 111th pope in St. Malachy’s list. Malachy, the Archbishop of Armagh in Ireland 850 years ago, had been given revelation of the next 111 popes, followed by “Peter the Roman,” who was to be the last pope before the destruction of Rome itself.
A month later, Cardinal Jorge Bergoglio of Argentina was elected to replace Benedict. Though he is from Argentina, his parents came from Italy. He took the name of Pope Francis, partly to identify with St. Francis of Assisi, and partly to identify with Francis Xavier.
Francis of Assisi was born Giovanni di Pietro di Bernardone—or Giovanni, son of Peter of Bernardone. As the son of a wealthy silk merchant, young Giovanni later renounced his wealth and determined to live a life of poverty while helping the poor. It was not long before he said he received a vision and revelation, where God told him, “Francis, Francis, go and repair My house which, as you can see, is falling into ruins.”
Apparently Pope Francis saw in this his own mandate to repair the Roman Church in the midst of its financial corruption and homosexual scandals. Yet his identification with St. Francis also identifies him as “son of Peter,” and thus also Peter the Roman.
Francis Xavier was one of the co-founders of the Jesuit Order in 1534, of which Bergoglio is a long-time member. Xavier is known for asking, “What will it profit a man to gain the whole world but lose his own soul?” Pope Francis apparently is directing this question to the Vatican Bank.
These are the themes that the new pope wants to characterize his legacy. It remains to be seen how successful he might be in his reformation mandate. The last one to try to reform the Vatican Bank was Pope John Paul I, who lasted only 33 days in 1978. David Yallop, in his book, In God’s Name, gives strong evidence that the pope was poisoned by his Secretary of State, Cardinal Jean Villot the night before he intended to replace Paul Marcinkus as head of the Vatican Bank.
So it remains to be seen if Pope Francis will succeed in his housecleaning efforts or not. If he is Peter the Roman, then the prophecy of St. Malachy may give us some clues about his reign:
“In the final persecution of the Holy Roman Church there will reign Peter the Roman, who will feed his flock amid many tribulations, after which the seven-hilled city will be destroyed and the dreadful Judge will judge the people. The End.”
This prophecy says nothing about this pope being either good or evil, but many Catholic writers have given him the title of “Antichrist.” Perhaps it is because Malachy said he would reign “amid many tribulations.” I see it in the light of prophetic types and patterns in Scripture.
As you may recall, the church in the Age of Pentecost finds its prophetic type in two main Old Testament stories: King Saul and Eli the high priest. King Saul was the type of the political church—in that Rome has claimed to be the rightful temporal ruler of the world. Eli was the type of the church in its priestly role. Both Saul and Eli reigned 40 years, and this was a type of 40 Jubilee cycles of the church, ending in 1993.
From 1993-2000 the prophetic type of Saul was the strongest pattern; but then the pattern shifted to Eli, who was judged for not correcting his sons. In this case the “sons” of the high priest are the priests all the way up to the cardinals. Since 2002 the news has shown that many pedophiles were transferred, rather than being put out of the priesthood. Their deeds were covered up.
More recently, the news has exposed the corruption in the Vatican Bank, something which began with its inception in 1942, but which was largely kept hidden until now. In other words, the two main church problems being exposed involve sex and money. It was the same with the sons of Eli, who stole the offerings (1 Sam. 2:16) and had sex with the women (1 Sam. 2:22).
Eli himself did not engage in such practices, and he even told his sons to stop their evil practices, “but they would not listen to the voice of their father” (1 Sam. 2:25). Eli was liable only because he did not use his authority to expel his sons from the priesthood.
The result was that a man of God was sent to Eli, telling him that God would call a new priesthood from a different family. This was fulfilled three generations later, when Solomon “appointed Zadok the priest in the place of Abiathar” (1 Kings 2:35).
We are told earlier in verse 27,
27 So Solomon dismissed Abiathar from being priest to the Lord, in order to fulfill the word of the Lord, which He had spoken concerning the house of Eli in Shiloh.
The Roman church assumes (from Matt. 16:17-19) that the institutional Roman church will never be replaced. Eli probably thought the same thing in his day, as did Saul. But refusing to believe God’s word will not change God’s will in this matter. David replaced Saul, and Zadok replaced the house of Eli. Both replacements prophesy of the overcomers in our time, who are of the Melchizedek Order. Melchi means king and refers to King David. Zadok means righteous and is the new priesthood coming to replace the corrupt house of Eli.
And so it appears that we are now seeing the final pope, described in 1140 A.D. as “Peter the Roman.” In his papacy, or shortly afterward, Rome will be destroyed, says St. Malachy. This tells me that Pope Francis will not be able to clean up the corruption of the cardinals and the Vatican Bank itself, any more than Eli was able to clean up his own house.
An antichrist is one who usurps the throne of Christ. The word literally means “in place of the anointed one.” In the Old Testament we are given two main antichrist types: Absalom, who usurped the throne of David, and Adonijah, who tried to usurp the throne of Solomon.
The story of Absalom was fulfilled in Christ’s first coming, when the priests in Jerusalem usurped the throne of Christ. In that story, Judas played the role of Ahithophel who was David’s friend who betrayed him by backing Absalom (2 Sam. 15:12). Absalom was crowned in Hebron, previously known as Kiriot-arba (Joshua 14:15). Hence, it is significant that Jesus’ friend, Judas, was from Hebron, as his name Iscariot was the Greek form of Ish-Kiriot (“man from Kirioth”, i.e., Hebron).
However, today we are seeing the second “antichrist” story on the stage of history. Adonijah, Solomon’s brother, attempted to usurp the throne when David was on his deathbed. He was backed by Abiathar, the last of Eli’s line of high priests (1 Kings 1:7).
And so, even as Eli had backed his sons rather than God, so also three generations later, Abiathar backed the usurper as well. Abiathar backed the antichrist of his day, and this set into motion the final fulfillment of the word of the Lord concerning the house of Eli. Abiathar was removed from the priesthood and replaced by Zadok, who represents the Melchizedek Order.
This is today’s pattern. The final pope is like Abiathar in prophecy. Abiathar served David nearly all of his life, but in the end he was disqualified for backing Adonijah, the anti-David. So also Pope Francis claims to have served Christ all of his life, but in the end, I believe, his loyalty will be to the church first, Christ second.
This is not a new pattern, for the very term “Vicar of Christ” is the modern equivalent of antichrist, for it means one who reigns in place of Christ. Technically, antichrist is a neutral term, for all kings on earth rule in place of Christ who is the King of Kings. The problem comes when these kings (or high priests) treat the throne as if it were their own, ruling in rebellion against the laws of God. When this happens, they usurp the authority of Christ.
Both Saul and David ruled in place of Christ. Saul claimed the throne as his own, ruling by his own will; David was a steward of the throne of Christ and was thus correctible when he went contrary to the laws of God.
And so with Pope Francis, I believe, we are seeing the final act of history before the new priesthood is given the full authority that will usher in the Age of Tabernacles.
The final phase of our Cosmic Prayer Campaign ended Monday, March 18, 2013. We won. The red dragon lost. The previous week end, while the banks were closed, the Parliament of Cyprus decided to accept a bail-out from the IMF, which demanded in return that the government steal 6.7% of all deposits in their banks. Any deposits over 100,000 euros were to be taxed at 9.9%.
This was to be implemented on Monday, March 18, while the banks remained closed. Of course, the outcry was great, because suddenly people’s savings were no longer secure in their banks. Banks worldwide depend on the faith of the people, and this action destroyed that faith.
It was clear that massive numbers of people were going to withdraw their money on Tuesday when the bank reopened, so the bank holiday was extended first to Thursday and then to the following Tuesday (Passover, March 26). The longer the bank holiday, the greater will be the run on the banks. Their banks are already teetering on the brink of bankruptcy, and when they fail, it could cause a chain reaction in Greece, Italy, Spain, and Portugal.
Watch carefully, for whatever financial tsunami hits the Eurozone will eventually hit America as well.
