The Transition Has Begun

For the past few years we have taught about the two-part ministry of Christ depicted in Moses/Joshua and in Elijah/Elisha.

Our revelation began in earnest in late 2008 and early 2009 in the aftermath of the Elijah revelation that we received at our Tabernacles conference in Hilo, Hawaii in September of 2007.

The foundational revelation was about the birth of “Elijah” (that is, the Elijah ministry). Further revelation showed that it was more than Elijah; it was really Elisha. And yet the revelation included both of them.

When the initial revelation was complete, I was led to proclaim the start of the Elisha ministry on April 12, 2009 at the Passover conference in Manassas, VA on the day of the wave-sheaf offering (“Easter”). I then began to study the life of Elisha and took note that he performed 16 miracle signs.

Since he had been given the double portion of the Spirit from Elijah, we also took note that Elijah performed just 8 miracle signs.

I then had the insight that we would begin to see the signs of Elisha manifest in the world in the time ahead. We did indeed see them manifest periodically. The eighth sign was done from July 9-15, 2010.

And then the signs ceased, and the ninth sign was not to be found. We tried not to be impatient, but we really did want to enter the double portion ministry of Elisha. To stop with the eighth sign only meant that “Elisha” had equaled the anointing and ministry of “Elijah,” who also had done eight miracles. Being stuck there, we knew that we had not yet received the anointing to finish the work.

Discernment from July 2013

After three years of waiting for the ninth sign to appear, we wondered if perhaps we were seeing Elijah’s 3-year drought manifesting (1 Kings 18:1). After all, that drought occurred at the end of Elijah’s ministry, because shortly after the drought ended, Elijah passed the anointing to his successor, Elisha, giving him the double portion.

At the same time, I pondered the fact that James 5:17 and Luke 4:25 each state that Elijah’s drought actually lasted “three years and six months.” So dating from July 9-15, 2010, this drought might last until January of 2014.

Well, last July we did not see the ninth sign of Elisha. The drought was continuing, so we looked toward January of 2014. When Ron and I discussed the possibilities, we felt that in the end February was more likely the month to watch, rather than January. Specifically, we needed to watch February 14-16, as I will show.

The January Passover Revelation

A few years ago Oklahoma Bob called me and shared a revelation about a “Passover New Year Celebration.” In other words, New Year’s Day would be like a Passover. On further prayer and reflection, we saw that January itself was like a type of the first month on the Hebrew calendar.

We all know that Passover occurs in the first month on the Hebrew calendar, but we were to apply it prophetically to the month of January. That meant January 14 was the day the lambs were to be killed, and January 15 was the actual Passover Day—the day Israel left Egypt.

For the next few years we did indeed see Passover signs in January. On January 14, 2011 the “Arab Spring” began when Tunisia’s president was driven from office. The same day the demonstrations began in Cairo against Egypt’s president Muabarak. Within three weeks, he was driven from power, almost as if the Egyptian Pharaoh had been overthrown as in the days of Moses.

The next year, on the night of January 13/14, 2012, the cruise liner, Costa Concordia, sank off the coast of Italy after running aground on an island. This was compared to the sinking of the Titanic, which had occurred 100 years ago in April of 1912.

The ship itself had a European theme with its decks named after various European nations. The name “Concordia” means harmony or peace. So we saw the sunken ship as prophetic of the breakup of the European Union, even as the sinking of the Titanic had foreshadowed Mystery Babylon overthrowing the West through the banking system.

In 2013 the sign was more obscure, as it involved the death of a key figure, which delayed the arrival of the new asset-backed banking system that was supposed to be implemented. He died January 16, which was the day of the wave-sheaf offering. I cannot say more than that.

On January 15, 2014 the Pope cleansed the temple by running the money changers out of the Vatican Bank. He fired four out of five top banking officials, reminding us of what Jesus did during His “Passion Week.”

We viewed these events each year in the light of the Passover revelation.

The Second Passover

In Numbers 9:9-11 we read that God set up a second Passover for those who were unable to keep the Passover in the first month. It was to be kept on the 14th day of the second month (Num. 9:11). So if January is the month of the regular Passover, then February is the month of the second Passover.

For this reason, when Ron and I were discussing the Elijah drought, and seeing how it should end in January 2014, we both felt that this would be modified to coincide with February—the second Passover. Why? Because the second Passover was a better “fit” with the time of the second work of Christ in our day.

Looking at prophetic history, we can see that Moses led Israel out of Egypt at the first Passover, but Joshua led Israel into the Promised Land at Passover forty years later. In a sense, this is like two Passovers, each associated with a miracle of parting the waters so that the people could cross over on dry ground. First it was the Red Sea, and later it was the Jordan River.

So in a prophetic sense, it was like a second Passover.

Secondly, when we link the two Passover events to the two comings of Christ, we can see that Jesus’ first work was to die on the cross at Passover, because He was acting as a second Moses to lead us out of the house of bondage. Jesus is compared to Moses in Acts 3:22.

The second coming of Christ, however, is designed to lead us into the Kingdom as Joshua, not as Moses. Joshua was of the tribe of Ephraim (Num. 13:8), so he was a direct descendant of Joseph, the holder of the Birthright (1 Chron. 5:1, 2). Joseph had received the double portion on account of the Birthright, and so his two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, had been given status as full tribes of Israel.

The name Ephraim means “fruitful” but the word is plural. More specifically, it is a dual, meaning precisely two, or double. The Hebrew language has both plurals and duals, unlike our English language. And so Ephraim literally means “a double portion of fruit.”

So Jacob knew that Ephraim was to be the primary holder of the Birthright. Joshua came from that tribe to show that the main purpose for Christ’s second coming was to claim His Birthright. When He came the first time, He came of the tribe of Judah to claim His throne which had been the blessing given to Judah (Gen. 49:10).

Between the two comings of Christ, first of Judah and lastly of Joseph, He is able to reunite the Scepter of Judah and the Birthright of Joseph under one Head. This is how the Kingdom is established on the earth.

Knowing the divine plan in this way helped Ron and I to understand that February 14-16 would be key dates in the unfolding of prophecy. Not only was it a prophetic second Passover, but it was also 3½ years (plus a month) from the beginning of Elijah’s drought (from July 2010).

The Book of Deuteronomy

I began my commentary on Deuteronomy on June 8, 2012. I finished doing the weblogs on Deuteronomy last September, but I also needed to put them into book form. A year ago (Feb. 2013), Ron came to my office and asked me when I thought the books would be finished. I told him “one year from now.”

This confirmed to him that we would not see the start of the Joshua ministry or the second half of the Elisha work until I finished the book in February 2014. At the time this seemed like a long way off, and I hoped we would not have to wait that long. This insight came a few months before we factored in the Elijah drought to our sense of timing.

By the end of December I had only finished six out of ten books, so it did not seem likely that I would finish the last one by mid-February. However, as it turned out, I finished the last book on February 16, my final deadline, which was the wave-sheaf offering for the second Passover in February.

This, then, marked the end of the Moses ministry (as well as Elijah). It is like Moses completed his work of preparing the way for Joshua.

Incidentally, I finished book nine on February 10, which correlates with the day Joshua crossed the Jordan, as dated in Joshua 4:19. (The 10th day was also the day that the people were to select the lambs for Passover.)

The ninth book of Deuteronomy is important because it covered the New Covenant and Joshua’s Commission in Deuteronomy 29-31. After Joshua was commissioned, Moses told him that the book of the Law was finished. We read in Deut. 31:24-26,

24 And it came about, when Moses finished writing the words of this law in a book until they were complete, 25 that Moses commanded the Levites who carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord, saying, 26 “Take this book of the law and place it beside the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God….”

So in a sense, completing the ninth book was also the completion of the book of the law. Book 10 consists of the Song of Moses and the Blessing on the Tribes, which seem to be added to the end of the Book of the Law.

So we can also date the end of Moses’ ministry as being February 10, 2014, which was the prophetic date for Joshua’s crossing the Jordan River into the plains of Jericho.

The Prophet Bob Jones Dies February 14, 2014

Bob Jones was originally from northern Arkansas, not far from where I lived for many years in the 1980’s and early 1990’s. I met him just once about 20 years ago at a meeting, but cannot say that I knew him personally. He was born Feb. 4, 1930 and died at the age of 84 on Feb. 14, 2014.

When Bob died on one of our important watch dates for 2014, I knew that this was significant in some way. But I did not realize what it indicated until I watched his funeral (memorial service) on the internet on Feb. 21. Only then did I get a better sense of his calling and ministry which had finally come to an end.

I heard that as early as 1975, in the height of the Charismatic movement, the Lord had called him to “prepare the way” for the next great move of the Spirit, the “final” world wide outpouring that was to come. Yet if he was called to “prepare the way,” then it was evident that his death concluded the preparation work, which we know as the Elijah work. This tells us that we are now at the end of the Elijah work and will shortly see the beginning of the double portion of Elisha. It also ended the Moses work and opened the way for the Joshua company to arise.

The fact that he died on February 14, the day that the lambs were to be killed for the second Passover, confirms our own revelation and tells us that the Joshua-Elisha work will shortly come to pass.

His death came on Valentine’s Day, which was also the 66th anniversary of the Latter Rain movement, which began on the same day in 1948 at Sharon Bible College at North Battleford, Sask. in Canada. We saw many years ago that the Latter Rain movement was timed to reveal the Father’s heart of Love.

About ten years ago, Bob Jones came close to dying and was prayed back. He returned with a revelation that when we meet Jesus, He will not ask how many souls we saved, but will ask the question: Did you learn to love?

And so, at the memorial service, people took note that he died on Valentine’s Day. We understand, but our view also takes into account that it is a revealed watch date for the second Passover, speaking of the end of Moses and the transition into the ministry of Joshua.

I could also relate to him just because we share a common last name that is prophetic of Jonah, or Jonas. As a type of Moses, He was a type of the first dove (“Jonah” in Hebrew) in Lev. 14:5. The first sign of Jonah was to go into the belly of the whale, even as Christ was to be placed in the heart of the earth. The second sign of Jonah came with his second calling to go to Nineveh (Jonah 3:1-3).

The second calling of Jonah was the work of preaching the word to Nineveh beyond the borders of Israel. His preaching converted the whole city, as you recall, and this prophesied of the Joshua-Elisha calling that we are now about to do in the last great outpouring of the Spirit.

I too have been a type of Jonah, except that I have known for 20 years that my calling was not merely to prepare for the second work of Christ, but to participate in it. Bob Jones was of the previous generation, and so he was called to prepare the way for what we are about to see.

The Memorial Service February 21, 2014

While watching Bob Jones’ memorial service, it occurred to me that it was happening 13 years after the “bearing fruit” revelation on February 21, 2001. I wrote about this in my book, The Wars of the Lord, chapter 28.

On January 29, 2001 I received a challenge in the mail from a woman in Wisconsin, who claimed authority in spiritual warfare and thought that I was trying to usurp her position. Since the Lord had already given us revelation that some sort of spiritual attack was to happen on that date, He had us answer it at 9:00 a.m. that day. The mail arrived at 10:30 a.m. with her challenging letter in it.

As we inquired of the Lord how to handle the situation, He led us to do what Moses did when he was challenged by Korah and his company in Numbers 16. Any challenge of spiritual authority must be appealed to God, who is the Source of all earthly authority.

So we laid up our staves of authority before the Lord in order to let Him give the verdict. When we did so, He told us that His verdict would be rendered at noon on February 21. That is when “Aaron’s rod” would bear fruit (Num. 17:5, 8) and bring forth almonds.

Well, it happened that our friend, Sunny Day, who knew the woman challenging our authority, called for an “almond meeting” at the DoubleTree hotel in Minneapolis, and scheduled it for Feb. 21, 2001. When I was invited to the meeting, I knew that we would see the verdict from the Divine Court, and that in some prophetic way the rod of authority would blossom and bear fruit.

It happened that Sunny Day also invited a couple from Rick Joyner’s Morningstar Ministries in Statesville, NC. They decided to attend the meeting as well. They called me to see if I could pick them up at the Minneapolis airport at 11:32 a.m. on February 21. Their name? Tom and Michelle Berry. I knew immediately that they were the sign of Aaron’s rod that was to bear fruit on February 21.

The only problem was that the plane was supposed to arrive before noon. The Lord had told us that the sign of fruit would be seen at noon. The plane arrived on time, but there was still another plane at the gate where they were to dock, so they sat on the tarmac until that plane left. Of course, they got off the plane precisely at noon.

Now, 13 years later, we see the fulfillment of that sign in the memorial service for Bob Jones on Feb. 21, 2014 at Morningstar Ministries. What are the odds that this service would be held at the same ministry that the Berry’s had come from in 2001? (In fact, when we had visited them years ago, they took us to the church to meet Rick Joyner.)

Coincidences abound when it comes to prophetic timing. What are the odds? Well, 100%, of course! We have seen this sort of thing hundreds of times. The Lord always confirms His word with signs following.

Watch Dates for March

First, there is March 5, Ash Wednesday. This date is connected to Ephraim, whose name means “double ash heap.” Hence, it is a Birthright watch date.

March 5 is also 1335 days (Daniel 12:12)) from July 9, 2010, when we went to the Headwaters of the Mississippi River to prophesy the eighth sign of Elisha. The main purpose was to deal with the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, and so the well was capped 144 hours later on July 15.

March 6 and 9 are also watch dates, because they are seven weeks from January 16-19 (wave-sheaf offering for the prophetic Passover in January). If Passover falls on Jan. 15, then the wave-sheaf might be January 16 or the following Sunday, January 19. So we ought to watch those dates in March.

Finally, we should watch March 15/16, as this is 30 days from the day Bob Jones died on February 14. Why 30 days? Mostly because of the Moses’ connection. When Moses died, Israel set aside a 30-day period of mourning before crossing the Jordan into the Promised Land (Deuteronomy 34:8). Hence, there may be a 30-day period where we do not see any particular event, although the flow of revelation will certainly continue.

Then, of course, there is always the revelation: “March 18 I set you free,” which dates back to 1986. March 18 is a watch date every year and may have special significance in 2014.

There are other dates we must watch, just because a 13-year cycle from 2001 seems to have emerged from hiding. Yesterday’s revelation at the memorial service, connecting it to the rod of authority bearing fruit, may imply more dates from 2001 emerging in 2014. Recall that throughout 2001 we did more spiritual warfare than in any other year, beginning with the authority challenge on January 29, 2001. I gave a full account of this in my book, The Wars of the Lord, chapters 27-33.

I am most interested in seeing if the revelation from March 20, 2001 may begin to emerge, where God said, “I am building effective Apostleship.” We have believed since then that God is raising up new apostles for the work that lies ahead, which will complete the work that was begun by the original apostles. Whereas the original apostles worked under the anointing of Pentecost, we today are looking for a double anointing of Tabernacles.

All in all, it seems that we are now in a transition from Moses to Joshua and from Elijah to Elisha. It seems likely that the new wind of the Holy Spirit will begin to blow soon. It is time to make our final preparations.
